Hymn to the Fallen
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qir-MgJqG1o
This is a space where you may salute all your fallen comrades and pay tribute to the heroic acts you performed together before dying... heroically.
I'd like to kick us off by honoring all those that died in defense of the core room to buy time for the destruction of the ship... particularly Ivan "Punished" Kravchenko whose last act before being torn to shreds was to twist the final rod and destroy an Elite Empress and her hive.
I'd also like to honor Caryl "Hail" Bernhaben for giving his life in defense of the Nexus and its defenses as the rest of Alpha retreated.
May they rest in peace.
I play as this guy, proudly being dismembered by extraterrestrials since 2015.
Sometimes I might play other guys, you never know.

I'd like to pay respects to Jools Kirby, because I beat the fuck out of him.
I was a Synth Councilmen, alongside Jakkk, MattAtlas, SovietKitty and Omicega.

I'll also pay respect to Vanechka Penkina for that time she soaked up an impressive amount of friendly fire for her size.

Vasilia "Kops" Kopchek - that machete wielding medic that always died bravely saving someone.
Troublesome, as usual.

Re: Hymn to the Fallen
Uriel 'Encino Man' Payan cracks open a cold one with the boys.
Look, I've heard your cries, and your calls.
I know you're mad at Command. I know you're angry. I know you're angry that those dinosaurs killed your fellow men.
You told me this, and I heard you.
But you shouldn't be angry at your command. If you're angry at command, you're saying that command sent those men to die. But command didn't kill those men. The enemy killed those men. They took your comrades from you. That's the important thing to remember, it was the enemy who took your friends, and you should be really REALLY mad at them.
Before you go back down there, I'm reminding you who your enemy is. The enemy.

Lother Jones and Adan 'Digger' Howard's fucked up father-son relationship. May they rest in peace.

Also, rest in peace, those marines that were canonically killed in action and that we'll never see again around the server. That includes, to my knowledge, Genghis Khan and Nathan Cutter.

Last round -
Balto, Caryl again, and everyone else that got massacred on the ground. Never forget.
Buck Pucker for being the last marine alive, having a conversation with his dead friend inside their resin cell, and having these amazing last words:
The marines that were denied a glorious death from the cancellation of the self destruct.

George S.Patton once said:No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making some other poor dumb bastard die for his country.

Good hunting.
