IRL Nicknames
Ever had a nickname IRL? share it with us and tell us how you got it in this topic. Don't be shy.
I'll start:
I used to be called "Blondie" when I was a kid, it was the only nickname I ever had in my life, but, when my hair colour went darker and darker with the time I lost it. Sometimes I get confused with my brother and they call me "Chinese" because my brother has really small eyes, like an asian.

Re: IRL Nicknames
Mac, Magoo, Malibou, McGweer, McQueer, McJefferson, McGregor, and probably a lot more.
Malibou because I was around people who were high.
All the Mc's because nobody would pronounce my name correctly.
Mac because I liked Mac & Cheese as a kid.
Magoo, just, idk, came out of nowhere.

Domino, Checkers, Cheakers, that one was a mispronunciation of checkers that stuck much to my dismay, and Nick, imaginatively enough.

Re: IRL Nicknames
Yuri, it's the first sound in my name so...
Look, I've heard your cries, and your calls.
I know you're mad at Command. I know you're angry. I know you're angry that those dinosaurs killed your fellow men.
You told me this, and I heard you.
But you shouldn't be angry at your command. If you're angry at command, you're saying that command sent those men to die. But command didn't kill those men. The enemy killed those men. They took your comrades from you. That's the important thing to remember, it was the enemy who took your friends, and you should be really REALLY mad at them.
Before you go back down there, I'm reminding you who your enemy is. The enemy.

Re: IRL Nicknames
Midget Sasquatch, Wolverine, Ippo, Homeless man, and Silly-bitch.
The first three because of my short but built physique, the 4th because I tended to wear ratty cloths and was always found with a dirty 5 o'clock shadow during HS, and the last just because that seems to be the one nickname every person has ever consistently called me, despite those people never meeting each other... kinda weird now that I think about it.

Chibi because I was short in high school and middle school. Ah, the early 2000s. Also I was known as Roadkill because I survived being hit by a car, flung about 30 feet and had the worst road rash...

Re: IRL Nicknames
I'm called "Little John" because someone actually assumed my middle name was my first name and decided naming me after my father was a good idea. Now everyone in High School has an unoriginal quip against me.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

I was called "Jesus" because I had long hair and long beard
And I was called "Trotyl" because once I was drunk I accidently exploded a shot of cheap absinthe in my hand, marking me with a scar

Re: IRL Nicknames
I've had 2 nicknames that stuck. The first one was Big Tuna. Basically I was on a fencing team and I became friends with this little girl who joined a few years after I did. I would always call her shrimp, and not to be outdone, she hamfistedly started calling me Big Tuna. I remember saying how it was never going to stick (I'm not even fat or anything), but our coach was a HUGE fan of The Office so that was my name for pretty much the entirety of high school. It grew on me.
As for the other one, before I left to go study in China for a year my teacher gave me the Chinese name 柯志凯 (Kē Zhìkǎi). All of my friends who I went abroad with bastardized this down to "Kerj" and that's what I went by. Some of the people I met over there thought it was a really funny name but I liked it a lot.
Nicknames are fun.

Re: IRL Nicknames
My nickname for over 10 years now has been Grandpa (I'm 24).
Basically way back my friends and I had a game night playing Halo 3. We got stuck with a kid that for some reason we couldn't get rid of, usual annoying 6~ year old shouting the whole game in the middle of the night. Eventually I had my friend pass me the headset(he'd had it up until now) and I put on an old man voice and said "BILLY?! IS THAT YOU BILLY?!"
Kid goes dead silent, and then says "... GRANDPA?!?!?!"
It's stuck ever since.

Re: IRL Nicknames
Every so often I'm called Irish because of my name. Only by two or three people.

Re: IRL Nicknames
When I was in route to my first duty station out at Nellis AFB, NV I called in to report how far I got since I was moving myself and my stuff. Well on the way I got told my gaining workcenter already had a person with my first name so I would be required to take a nickname. I heard them arguing in the background and then the phone was picked back up, "Your name is Chucky now. Drive safe Chucky and see you soon."
When I arrived on base and was escorted around to do the various paperwork and met and greets with my new commanders and workcenter supervision sure enough, "This is our new guy, Chucky." By the end of the first month I was either Airman Carr (only the Lt called me that) or Chucky. I've only started shedding the evolved Chuckachu version recently to Soundwavesghost.

Re: IRL Nicknames
I was called 'Lightbulb' for most of my adult life.
The Nick name was first applied to me in 1988 in Real Life Marine Corps boot camp by a drill instructor who thought my BRAIN HOUSING GROUP looked like a GE 100 WATT.
The nickname followed me out into the fleet and eventually became my CALLSIGN.
I eventually became LIGHTBULB77.
I should be clear:
Aviation callsigns and Ground Side Callsigns are way different.
I was a crew chief/doorgunner (amongst other jobs).
I actually served in the United States Army as well.
Tactical callsigns are a different story in the US ARMY.

I used to be called 'Nightmare' when I was in the Marine Corps because when I and my squad went out for drinks, I would always get so plastered that I'd just ruin everyone's night haha.
