If you think you're going to lose your sniper, get a grip, railscope, and BC if you actually think you'll survive the crapfest. This may be powergaming and if so you better ahelp it.

Little Tip: Your gun will get better damage but have reduced accuracy and scatter, as well as decreased RoF.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

So I play sniper spec whenever I can, heres maybe a few tips and a loadout.

Ditch anything you can that makes you look like a sniper. No Durag and no special backpack. Sure they make you look cool but they make you an obvious target for xeno who meta like chumps. Also ditch your little pistol, you don't need it and maybe someone will upgrade their M4A3 for it. Trade an SO for their really cool hat maybe?

Pick the Sniper loadout unless you know FOR A FACT that your going to try and call CAS. The Sniper and Scout classes at the moment are the same but for some reason the scout gets Laser bino, don't waste them when your other sniper buddy might actually have hair on their head and call in some good CAS strikes.

Take a normal rifle on your back maybe with a QF and Ext barrel loaded with only AP on your back. Your using these forums and actually reading some Tip threads so maybe you got some hair on your head. You know where to aim, when to shoot, and to pay attention to where your friends are. If you don't know those things then what the fuck are you even rolling Spec for to begin with? My point is you can be trusted with AP at this point, and with a QF and Ext attached to your gun you can kick some real ass with it whenever your sniper isn't the right weapon to be using which with firing lines and baldies in your way it often isn't.

Don't ditch your sniper rifle. You might have this pimped out M41 now but your job is still sniping and you should be doing that instead of Ramboing like a goof. Some people say the sniper rifle is to weak or does have enough ammo but if your smart you really can do big damage with what little ammo you have.

Dont dupe ammo but at round start do swap your loaded ammo then have cargo top off those mags so you can still go in with full mags and the type of ammo you want to use first loaded. I do that with incendiary ammo so I can get an extra shot of it chambered and have it be the first full mag I blow through.

My full loadout ends up being something like:
Suit slot, Sniper rifle with a bipod loaded with 15+1 Incendiary shots.
Backpack slot, M41 with QF and Extended Barrel loaded with 40+1 AP with.
Ammo Belt, 2 Marksman mags, 1 Flak mag, and 4 mags of M41 AP ammo.
Armor slots 2 mags of M41 AP ammo.
Pockets, Binos and a Heath scanner.
Webbing, 1 Bandaid, 1, Ointment, and 1 Tricord autoinjector.
Eye thing goes on your eye as well. Never forget that thing, its the best part of both loadouts.
(If your a loser who wears a helmet and without any fashion item in it at that, you can store another mag of AP in there. (Dont be a loser be a snowflake)

Some healing, plenty of ammo, and some sick guns. What more could a man want!

If anyone who disagrees with me on any of my tips especially the parts about taking AP I will feel personally attacked and retaliate by doxxing and swating you. /sarcasm. Id never actually do that. But I will hope that you explain to me why you disagree so I can tell you your wrong and Im better then you at this game.

I would suggest instead putting a Gyroscopic on your Sniper rifle, this lets you fire it with one hand, and you don't suffer any slow down when moving with the gun out. This is invaluable as it can let you dodge boiler acid blobs more effectivly and in general increases your maneuverability with little, if any, drawback.

I would also suggest either getting a SMG on your belt slot, or getting a M41A on your back slot and placing a Gyro on it as well. This can let you chase down retreating xenos in combination with your night vision goggles (Scout Sight) and finish them off.

Its all up to personal preference.

As a standard getting a rail scope on a M41A With an extended barrel and forward grip may not be as powerful per shot as the M42A But it'll help you get your shots down for when you do get the chance to use the M42A, Also it's still fantastic at suppressing boilers. Just gotta hope your local CT's are kind enough to give you three attachments, Either that or just get the scope and another then loot the last one off a dead marine planetside.

When marines block your path, you have two options:
Either go go first, or try to bring down the xenon from the side free lines (if any)
Otherwise, if they do not want to give way, just let them die from the gas of the boiler
