Heya my marines! -
You know about a SADAR. It's a single-shot rocket launcher. SADAR using a 3 class of the 84mm rockets: High-Explosive (HE), Anti-Tank (AT) and Phosphorous rockets (RHS).
Situations for use a SADAR' rockets:
1. I use AT rockets only on T2 (Hivelords and Carriers, but no spitters or hunters) and for T3 and T4. (Quenny).
2. HE is universal rocket (Crusher can't be stunned by HE). Use that on Queens and others T3.
3. And my favorite rocket is PHR (Fire-rocket). Only for Crushers, if you really want to kill it. (Or you can use it on T3).

You can use all tactics, but SADAR was nerfed...(Nerf..-_-) You need a support team for nice push. (SADARman stun alien > Support will kill that, if you have a really good team).

Okaye, it was SADAR. (My favorite set).

B18 set like a Iron Man with Phero-Titan Armor. (B18 easy deflecting a Young Runner' slash' and M42A - A ammo.(really, my armor reflected it.)).
Okkie, B18 have a two problems. Problems... Acid and legs. (You know).

Second weapon still only shotty (fun) with BC and gyro. Funny push with shotty still effective method for destroy.(use a Shells).

And ammo for main (no) weeaaapon. M92 Nade Launcher can use a 4 types of nade. (if you have a baldie B18 specialist, wait Nade-FF).
M92 load are still 6 nades. (You have 5 are in M92 preloaded). HE-HE-Incendiary-HE-HE. (5).

Nades type:
1. M40 HEDP Grenade. Standart FF Nade for all marines. (Stole a one of nade-boxes are at Cargo. P.S. For M92... :) ).
2. M40 HIDP Incendiary Grenade. Standart FF Nade too.
3. M40 HSDP Smoke Grenade. Just smoke. Using for tactical manours. (Or for fun).
Oh Ollie, last Nade is M15 Fragmentation Grenade. More powered then M40 HEDP.

Tactic? You can do a M93 tactics for me? Use a comments for it (You did it? Thank you!).

And it was a B18 set with M92.

If you are robust enough you either die by FF or a robust alien. If the alien is robust. He'll slash your foot.
Other than that, you are slower.

B18 useless.

Get a SADAR and a QF EXT rifle and you can swap fast enough to switch and finish t2/t3 alone. If queen, boop one ugl at first and empty your mag /IF SMOKE DOESN'T PREVENT YOU FROM SEEING/. That way you earn 2 extra seconds of stun.

SADAR strong.

Regarding nade, it doesn't create smoke which allow you to shoot a stunned alien straight. Learn how to fuse/cook properly and you will destroy anything beside rav/crush/queen with a nade and QF rifle.

(PS: QF rifle has highest dps on a stunned target from far.)

Right now I would put the B18/GL as being the superior set, and the best Specialist kit on offer.

The SADAR is a effective weapon in the right circumstances, however it is held back by several issues, such as massive amounts of smoke being thrown up both behind you as you fire and on your target. That the HE rockets feel like they are essentially just grenades that explode on contact, that AT rockets oft struggle to even kill T2 xenos on a direct hit and that the WP rockets are oft inconsistent, sometimes gibbing Crushers, other times not even igniting a Hivelord. Ammo is surprisingly not that bad a issue for the SADAR.

The B18/GL has many advantages. Grenade ammo is easy to get thanks to the prevalence of grenade boxes in cargo. The grenades you fire have a very fast detonation time, and you can fire up to six of them at a time. I've oft seen half a dozen Aliens, including high level Queens, die to one GL user. Not to mention you can quickly follow up with M41A fire. The B18 armour is more a bonus for the GL, it gives you the best armour in the game, I think being a step below Deathsquad Commando armour. The only issue is the LACK OF ARMOURED FEET which has been prevalent for years now.

SADAR is fine as a weapon, but in comparison to the GL it simply pales in comparison.

And my little tip about B18 set. Your helmet can deflect 2 huggers.

Thank you Steelpoint and Dolth for the help. I think, new specialists (baldie) will be more informated about SADAR and GL.

Forgot about the GL timer boost and the nades in req...

Welp il that case B18 would be superior. Smoke is a huge issue from SADAR and GL can stunlock, have a solid squad will make a good B18 waaaaay more dangerous than a SADAR nowaday. Now I highly advise having a QF rifle to finish off stunned targets, sticks with any stun-class.

Changing my mind to B18 is stronger.

I think B18 is the superior simply on the virtue of the chain stun potential. It was always there, but now that the two kits are combined the extra armor on top of the grenade launcher is just too good to pass up.

Negative. GL rate of fire and old timer was too long to surprise and chain stun.

SADAR is great with competent fellow Marines nearby.

Pros:
Can take down Ravagers, Praetorians, Spitters, Hunters, and other Xenos a B18 cannot. Needs follow up from fellow Marines.

Cons:
Can't do much alone.

B18 is solid if you are great with your placements and are able to land a grenade on the Queen post-screech. A UGL can do the same, but 6 grenades chained on an Elite Queen will kill her, and if you're lucky you'll catch another Xeno trying to help the Queen who was out of place. It relies on the Queen overstaying her screech.

Cons:

If you don't fill your backpack/etc with Grenades you'll be out quick. If you do fill up and become solely grenade based you can't touch Hunters/etc unless they pounce someone near you. You are the definition of defensive support.

B18 is nice, but most xenos will see you're wearing it and slash your feet off, making it useless.
Grenade launcher can be great, because you don't have to reload after every shot like the SADAR, but it requires you to get closer to xenos to properly use it, plus it (I feel) takes more skill to use.

SADAR is best option, in my opinion.

I will say from a doctor's perspective it's always fun to see the meat nuggets Xenos turn B18 users into with their incessant leg/arm slashing.

Stunlocking = win. Today I saw grenadier killing like 10 ayyyys almost singlehanded (there were more marines but they didnt contribute to kills a lot) at SD room defence. Marines got enough time to detonate Almayer because of these stuns.

Yeah, if you can stagger and layer your boom well, the GL is a monster. I'm not so convinced about the merits of the B18.

Of all my rounds as B18, that was probably one of the top. So many rounds as a B18 you'll get caught out, disarm\tackle spammed, and then gibbed. As I said, it's great. In tight spaces and on defense.
