I mainly use burst fire when I've got a BFA cause I love the whole "spray and pray" feel it has on it! Burning through mags, and with it I actually kill things when it's the right situation. Otherwise I've been doing better after reading this stuff! FF is definitely down, and when it does happen, it's usually minor!
Thanks for the comments, nice and helpful!

- stand at least 1 tile away from your allies

- shoulder to shoulder while locked in combat, never in front or behind of your allies. if you are in front or behind, you should be doing anything other than shooting like dragging wounded back etc.

-don't try and squeeze yourself into tight spaces and packed lines, it's ALWAYS a horrible idea

- don't be too hasty. holding your fire when you're not sure whether you'll FF or not is better in most situations

- it may sound a bit cheesy but whenever i have a few seconds i actually like to observe my surroundings for a bit. helps you notice paths and places you can go that other people wouldn't notice. just in case you need to move or something. makes you more aware of others around you too.

My general credo:
  • Keep burst off unless I'm the pointman, or there's no one in front of me and I don't know what's ahead.
  • Always try to keep a mental image of what my firing lane is, and try to account for how bursts can fan out
  • When using buckshot, always have that fan as a mental image
  • If in doubt, it's best not to fire
Current characters in use:
  • Andre Espinosa: Charlie Specialist
  • Li "Sino" Xu: PFC
  • Desmond Fey: Staff Officer
