Then again... Some survivors have access to some real retro weapons, and the black market is fulla outdated weapons. Even the CLF are known for hussling together a rag-tag arsenal of strange weapons.

Still.. A shame we won't have a USCM equivalent of the M1 series...

How about this: A mortar or light infantry gun, one that could join the sentry and M56D as engineer token equipment. It would be brought down and then deployed on the surface by combat engineers. I can see two different ways of doing this, one, the infantry gun, which would be like an immovable SADAR to bring that little extra anti-T3 oomph to a FOB, and also an awful lot more insta-kill FF because unintended consequences. I prefer the second, a mortar, which would allow the fire-er to put down HEDP like explosions down at long range, like snipers or boilers, and preferably with IFF (as it fires in a high arc, over the heads of the Marines), or a point and click explosion with no projectile after one reloads. This would help with marine pushes, make a handy boiler counter, and allow for a whole new use of the engineers' equipment.

I'm not sure about what specific equipment would be added but since I primarily play roles in the medical department I'm eagerly awaiting the addition of new toys for research.

I'd be interested if the containment cells in RnD did two things.

1: All xenomorphs inside a cell count as 'dead' for gameplay reasons, so any captured xeno specimens won't delay a round in edge cases.

2: That each cell has an ability to vent a special gas (not really) that puts anyone inside to sleep for around thirty seconds, including Xenos (Not zombies for balance reason). It also can allow a Human to safely drag a sleeping xeno. This can allow the safe transfer of one xeno to a second holding pen.

CAS gets a wonderful array of weaponry, but it's all just that: Weaponry.

How about the ability to drop flares onto a laser target? It would help the marines light up the area and give the pilots a way to support the battlefield outside of combat.

We had similar back in the day; it was barely used both because the products weren't that good typically, and marines barely bothered to bring corpses back (and it got especially bad after xenu corpses exploded).
