I think there should just be one floodlight and tcomms kit in each engi vend.
Alternatively, what if several floodlight kits and a tcomms kit was available at requisitions for squad engineers to request, but not enough for everyone?
Having more then 1 tcoms seems excessive.

How about some sort of Radioman class/equipment? Perhaps a radio+backpack combo that spawns in the squad leader vendor and allows marines to use radio comms as long as they are within a certain distance of the wearer. The SL can hand it out at will or wear it themselves at the expense of both inventory space and ability to reach/look into it while its on their back. It would allow the Tcomms mechanic on Big-Red and Ice Colony to stay the same without completely compromising any cohesion amongst the ranks.

I would be down with something like this since comm's is a big part of the round, no comm's no coordination and so forth that and its not too OP sounding since you need to be within range of the radioman just to send transmissions.

If this became a thing, I would totally be in favor of making telecomms even more difficult to maintain. Then the marines would have to rely on a radio operator if they wanted communications, or go through the effort of securing telecomms.

As it is right now, telecomms is either an afterthought or a complete marine slaughter that ends rounds before they even begin.

I did ponder the idea of a radio operator a few days ago. (Though my idea would have been slightly different.)

Should the Telecommunications Operator/Signaller be issued it as a class and (probably) ID locked on the radio?
Or should it be in the SL's vendor and issued out at their discretion?

My idea for the radio was to have it act like a harness similar to the smart gun, preventing the radio from becoming lost/stolen.

A trap wall that predators can build. When their prey steps on the tile, it builds a barricade like wall in the direction they came from (or the desired direction on placement) that cuts off the pathway.

Basically it could act like an airlock with a remote to close it and bolt it.

Screwdriver C4, attach signaler, boom.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. Officers getting Swords would both be accurate to IRL and be lit as fuck.

USCM = Modern marine corps.

Marines groundside are still marines.
So, officers shipside would be affiliated to the Navy.

I don't see swords attached to officers, unless there is a parade. But, during operation.. having a sword..?

Would it be possible to have the Heavy Pulse Rifle and the M4RA coming into the Req Office ? Like maybe 1 or 2 each. And then, more in crates.

So as to have a fair chance to see some at the first deployments.

My true petition is for rubber bullets and beanbag rounds. Screw tasers.
Also replace the M4A3 pistols in the armoury for MPs with revolvers. Wheelguns are more LEO worthy.

We do not have stamina damage. The revolvers I can work with. Much more powerful and much more accurate.

CM is in a weird place because the Officers use Navy rank, but frequently lead in combat. Marine Infantry Officers also lead in combat, so it's seems about half and half to me. If we were being even more nit-picky accurate, Corporals and up would also get NCO swords, but that might be a little weird to place. If I was deployed to space, I would absolutely bring my fucking sword since they make you buy it once you commission. Might as well get your money's worth if you aren't gonna be home anytime soon.

Anyway, there is a perfectly valid reason to code in a cool sword for Officers, and I will lobby for it till I die.

It's probably been suggested but I think adding a 3D printer to research would be really cool. Lab rats could research improved or special attachments and print them out for marines.

The prolathe, autolathe, circuit imprinter, exosuit fabricator, and W-Y biosynthetics imprinter were literally 3D printer.

We really need a magazine or two of Blank Ammunition for the pulse rifle in security to do "proper" Firing Squads.

We can always add a entire locker of the rounds to do Wargame training/weapons safety with marines too.

This, I would love this. Maybe this could be ordered from Cargo in a crate for 40 or more points with two sets or so (compared to SL armor it would be slightly stronger). It just kinda irks me that marine armor feels a bit weak, don't get me wrong, I know the CLF armor is worse. I remember during a UPP round where a UPP soldier with that special heavy armor some of them get would just tank most of my shots (was using m4a1 with no AP because AP is for nerds), and once he landed three shots in my chest my bones broke and I got launched into crit. It's not going to be B18 level of protection though, more of an improvement to the M3 armor with a slight acid resistance and better boolet resistance. This armor is pretty much the middle ground between M3 armor and the B18, edging more towards standard marine armor.

still has the unarmored lower body like the b18 though and that makes meANGERY
Phillip Driver, jack of all trades, reliable in some. Your typical jumpy flamer PFC or ammo fumbling CPL, always has a pair of ballistic goggles on him for unknown reasons. Will probably die mid sentence, because he talks (and gets bullied) too much for his own good. He has his moments though.

Jim, a Gen 2 Synthetic. Has a tendency to get melted to bits when planet side, and that's when he's behind barricades. Despite that, he's vigilant and always ready to drag you out of danger, even if it damages him in the process.

A M10/welding helmet (just a reskin of the welding helmet with the m10 stats) hybrid for the Combat Engineer class.
