So you wanna be a robust Marine, don't ya?
First things first:DON'T GO STANDARD YOU SHITHEAD. well turn survivors on, survivor are the most robust people around, If you are not a survivor be a PO or MT if you have guns you are a pussy, no matter what.

Your weaponry:the most robust weapon SS13 has ever seen is a toolbox but you probably won't get one if ya ain't a MT, if you are a marine, don't get a gun, get Throwing knives they are extremely ROBUST

Your objective:you are not a marine, you are the reincarnation of RAMBO, you must go to the caves by yourself and kill all the ayyylems by yourself

I'm a full out squad medic, I go into combat with only a pistol that isn't even in my hands. I revive all my buddies from the brink of death and haul their broken bodies to medical so they can get their balls stapled back on. This man is right, quit using guns just throw your boots at them!

edit: This post hilariously reminds me of my fun times with DF:adventure mode for some reason; whipping Tanekanena to death with my turban.

the xenos can never get u if theyre too busy getting everyone else

the key to being robust is to realize how slow taser shots are and how much xenos like to eat MPs.

You lure the MPs planetside by blatantly disregarding the roleplay guidelines and, in most cases, server rules
when they get there you lead them on a goosehunt, ruining their round and your squad's round (go SL)
make sure to, with MPs in hot pursuit, rush the xeno base as soon as the fog clears and then the MPs will use their semi-auto shotties to make a distraction while you kill the queen.

This is clearly the most effective way to be robust, and the one that I employ most often in my colonial marine escapades.

This is easy: Put the gun on your mouth and you will be Robust! 100% Confirmed, no one did say that it didn't work.

Xenos are so greedy they will just get you first and then go back for the free meal. The trick is to make your comrade care about you and be willing to give their life for yours so when they make their last stand you can get away and then forget about them and do it to the next guy.

top tier level of robustness: change all your limbs to robotic, that way you can never die (plus points if you can rp a backstory explaining why you have all robotic limbs)

how about ditching a helmet and wearing a bandana/headband/beret/cap until you eventually get decapped or FFed

OR PUTTING TWO RAIL LIGHTED HOLDOUT PISTOLS INTO YOUR HELMET AND GOING FULL OPERATOR
Phillip Driver, jack of all trades, reliable in some. Your typical jumpy flamer PFC or ammo fumbling CPL, always has a pair of ballistic goggles on him for unknown reasons. Will probably die mid sentence, because he talks (and gets bullied) too much for his own good. He has his moments though.

Jim, a Gen 2 Synthetic. Has a tendency to get melted to bits when planet side, and that's when he's behind barricades. Despite that, he's vigilant and always ready to drag you out of danger, even if it damages him in the process.

Is this implying that wearing a not-helmet isn't robust? Helmets are ugly stains on any sprite too, very fashionably unrobust.

how dare you say this BLASPHEMY about helmets they are beautiful and even adjust to your squad color they're so cool
