Yep, few months ago. Dolthgar convinced me to try CM, he taught me the ropes in 3 to 5 rounds, then he went to Africa with our country military, and I played on my own since then.

I never tried SS13 before, maybe 30 minutes on empty servers when I was taught by Dolth (the hud, using hands, grabbing stuff and equipping them). I've just been on CM since then, it was just true love for the community and the game. I devoured the wiki, the lore (initially I didn't like Alien-universe, because I'm scared of spooky-movies), then I devoured the forums, reading many things I could find.

Now, I'm in a step that I want to explore things, finding solutions to existing problems. I'm a bit powergamy on the edge (looting groundside lockers or groundside armories to get better webbings is the usual shit I do), one day, I'll get struck by a banhammer for this, but each time I cross a locker, I can't help myself., I love having more pouches.

Fortunately, the medical update will force me to abandon medical roles and I'll redirect myself back to SLing.

If we're both SLing around, do not hesitate to contact me through command channel, I love coordinating my moves with other squads (having flanks secured, counterattacking, helping, such things).
Yeah, sure thing man. I'm thinking of going SL main this weekend as ive had marine on high for a bit so I can be a little more memey, but I think it's time to get back at it. I'm assuming you're delta pref, yes?

The unexpected grunt that gets aSL after the SL dies horribly, becoming an incredible leader and manages to pull a victory from the xeno scum grasp.

Had a good experience with Richard 'Arrow' Oakley (I think that was his name) today. Led Delta squad to an amazing charge. Dude knows how to SL.

Caryl is my favorite SL as he exemplifies smarts.
One of the few times I was under him, he led us to kill 30 plus xenos in the caves south of Lambda once using a "Raid and Retreat" style tactic combined with a Cave FOB. Other than that I've seen him around as a good SL and occasional aSL.
All I can say is that it was his smarts that won us the day. Guy has great forethought and leadership.

Park So-Hee is another good SL I've seen around.

I have had good experiences with Park So-hee from both a squaddie of Charlies Chucklefuck brigade and as an SO, competent. Good at leading and herding Charlie and nice CAS calls so for. Plus. Glorious Charlie squad. So +1

Saaammmmeee. I gotta get out there and SL some more, show these punks who's the best of the best. Just, not till we're off Ice again..

Anthony Johnson, Cliff Campbell, and William Crimson, are all my top picks for Charlie's SL's. All three of them are some high quality lads.

Kesserline. By far my favorite SL to be under, balances great RP and God-Tier tactics. Have never been squad wiped under his command.

It's pretty hard to pick a favorite, so here's a bunch of SLs that I remember fondly.

I've had some great rounds with Uriel as SL, especially that tcomms defence when the location had just been moved on ice colony.
Goliath SL'd for Charlie the other day, coincidentally also on ice, and it was a good round. Usually I see him as SL for other squads. I think this was only the second time I've worked under him.
Park So Hee: good SL, but I manage to die fairly early on every time Park is leading, no idea why.
Aestel Rose: great SL, but 80% of the time I roll bravo medic or decide to give some command role a try when she gets Charlie lead.
Anthony Johnaon, can't forget about this guy. Good SL, possibly better spec than SL though, he seems to perform best as aSL after the SL dies.
Jester: Cool, competent, it's always an honor to die alongside him in battle. I think one time I even dove between a critically injured Jester and a rav (as medic) just to get him out alive. Would do it again. Too bad the other medic was SSD in the fitness pool though...
Special mention:
Wanda Fisher: promoted to aSL as PFC once, she did an amazing job and we came back from almost a total squad wipe to crush the aliens.
Harry Cowper: I don't recall working under him, but he was extremely competent while I was SO for his squad once. I deeply regret not awarding him a medal that round(it ended faster than i expected!)

Xur has to take my vote. Despite not having seen him in a while, he managed to consistently field robust squads and skillfully navigate them to safety.

Kesserline.

I can't think of a single name that stands out to me as much as Marks, if I see him as my SSGT I know it's going to be a good round, horrid death or not. I can't think of anyone else who keeps squad cohesion up like him, and Kesserline is the reason Cato goes SL so much now.

Keep up the good work and always wear your breath mask.
