Flank, flank for gods sake flank!

Was SO last night on lv trying to get a squad to head northwestern caves then head east to stomp out the hive.

Had one SL flat out refuse. The next one agreed and had a resistance free push right up to the hive backdoor to catch our the last remnants trying to fall back.

With the current updates the xenos weakness is in the long flanks as all their units are focussing on 1 main supply chain

Flanks are important. Wholly so. As XO Schneider marines managed a storming win against the Xenos just 30 minutes after the fog dropped making a personal record as aCO. All squads relatively healthy. All squads pushed Xenos into caves and then one squad was assigned to an entrance each and then pushed in as one. Dead Xenos. Lots of dead Xenos. A combination of robust marines and the pressure of 3 flanks after quite devestating CAS and OBs made short work of the hive.

On the flipside. PROTECT YOUR DAMN FLANKS. All too commonly I'm now seeing the Ayys pick off everyone wandering around the LZ. Killing pilots and medics because they are left undefended and exposed due in part to a lack of FOB and LZ defences. Protect your medics from Young Runner (420) who's running through your back line unhindered because there are no defences. Nothing to stop the memetide.

Liberal use of CAS and OBs applied directly to a Xenos face tends to leave a disgusting, but somehow sweet, xeno paste. Use them! Use all the rockets! Glass the planet through superior USCM aerial supremecy and orbital fire power!

It does seem like we do win more with liberal application of ordinance to xeno things.

Offer the xenos girl larva cookies. They love the Larva scouts.
Player of Rain Winterson and Winter Silverson.

Not terribly robust, but will give runners bananas.
