Does anyone else enjoy playing as their squad's ammo bitch?
I like to order a big box of ammo from req. round start and wear it on my belt, then deploy it during the mission to resupply my squad's mags, as well as refill and then distribute any empty mags I find. Only real problem that I find is that I can't really hold pistol/smg/shells as well as I can refill mags with my ammo box.
I've been thinking of trying to be more specialist, make sure everyone in my squad has one mag of AP, then get a box of AP ammo and refill all my squad's AP mags.

Put the box in your armor storage, use an ammunition belt/shell belt, and put the weapon of choice on your back, if you're having issues with storage.Chowder McArthor wrote: ↑08 Feb 2018, 17:55Only real problem that I find is that I can't really hold pistol/smg/shells as well as I can refill mags with my ammo box.

Decent points; I could see holding two ammo boxes, one normal on my belt, one AP/SMG box on my suit, and rifle on my back; issue I see though is that req already has a problem spending 20 points on a PFC, spending 40/50 points would be unthinkable. As well, SMGs aren't as used, and it's only a minor improvement carrying around an ammo box, since not a lot of people use it.CrimsonAerospace wrote: ↑08 Feb 2018, 18:05Put the box in your armor storage, use an ammunition belt/shell belt, and put the weapon of choice on your back, if you're having issues with storage.
With shotgun shells though, storage is a major problem. There's no big shotgun shell box, so you need to carry all the standard shell boxes, which would require a backpack, and a lot of people who use shotguns already carry a bunch of shell boxes, and unlike mags, I find I rarely run out of shells, ever.

Re: The Ammo Bitch
When I play a standard, I usually do my best to load up on everything, 5 rifle mags, 5 shotgun handfuls, and carry both of those weapons personally, so while I'm not strictly trying to load everyone else, if somebody voices "low ammo", I usually have rounds to spare for either of the primary weapons.
Though often I'll sacrifice the Pulse Rifle and commit to having the shotgun, then carry my gunner's spare pack for them on my back, which typically seems to be pretty useful.

My favorite kind of ammo bitch is the marine who takes my spare Power-Pack and shadows me during the op so I don't have to leave the front lines to rearm.

Re: The Ammo Bitch
I die to quick to run out of ammo. =]
Well, it is mostly because I don't burst fire at the xenos I can't see and blow all my ammo, single shots with the pulse rifle and trigger discipline with the shotgun saves a lot of ammo. =P
Having someone pair up with the Smartgunner, the specialist, the engineer, squad leader, and the medic can help out a lot more than holding M41 ammo for the grunts to FF with. xD
But to be fair, there are a lot of empty M41 mags laying around late in the battle and often there are more marines for the front line that things get pretty clogged and being in reserve to clean things up is a good way to pass time.

Unfortunately that round I kept getting fucked up by xenos and going back to medbay because of broken bones and shit.

What I meant when I said this, was to store the ammo box of your choice in your armor storage, and use a standard magazine belt, so you could carry your own ammo, if there was any confusion.Chowder McArthor wrote: ↑08 Feb 2018, 18:14Decent points; I could see holding two ammo boxes, one normal on my belt, one AP/SMG box on my suit, and rifle on my back; issue I see though is that req already has a problem spending 20 points on a PFC, spending 40/50 points would be unthinkable.
