Researchers: The discussion
So everyone knows researchers are only RP, and basically useless, and since I don't have anything substantial for the gitlab, I'll post what ideas I have for the the rest of you to comment on, discuss, suggest, or call me a complete idiot. Let's get into it:
Xeno dissection
In ALIENS, Bishop picks up a facehugger and dissects it to study it, and on the Sulaco, researchers just grabbed a dissection tool and hacked an alien to bits, and shoved the parts into a machine which made a few items. What I propose is that researcher should be more of a "let's identify what traits these aliens have, and try to use it to our advantage, or counter it." To do this, I think that different castes of xenos should yield different parts of the body that researchers can extract, and those parts can create different things, more than just the previous three (blood, skin, and something else) by taking the corpse to a dissection room and performing a surgery to extract different organs, or skin the creature. Here are some examples that I've thought of, but are in no way balanced:
Runner castes
Runners could give stimulants that allow the marine to move faster, not as fast as hyperzine, but it would last longer.
Hunters could have their skin harvested to give a worse version of the scout cloak, but instead of making them practically invisible, it'd prevent xenos from using their heat vision, and make the user's sprite a bit transparent, obviously, this wouldn't last long, but could lead to new tactics for the marines.
Crushers could give either a stimulant to "charge" forward, similar to runners, but instead of lasting longer, it lasts shorter but with more speed. Or they could give skin to give some more resistance in addition to the marine's armor (not as much as the b18), but making them slower than b18 specs.
Ravagers could make a chemical that makes the marine temporarily immune to all fire, or if they're suffering heat damage, act like a super dermaline+kelotane mix.
Sentinel castes
Sentinels could give a less risky Synaptizine alternative, or act in a way to make Synaptizine less toxic and more viable for combat medics to give out.
Spitters could have their spit analyzed for weaknesses in the compound, and they can make an "antidote" to it, similar to my ravager suggestion.
Praetorians could have their pheromones extracted and maybe could be used in a gas grenade, this would probably be limited to warding or recovery, god forbid a rambo marine gets a frenzy pheremone and solo kills the hive.
Boilers could have their gas analyzed to make some sort of hazmat suit, or upgraded gasmask for marines to use, which would be more resistant.
Drone castes
Drones are tricky, I thought about having the ability for weeds to give marines VERY weak healing, but I think that hivelord would work better for that. But for drones, maybe researchers can make a tool that can collect purple sacs, and engineers can use that to repair structures, or even make hive structures of their own.
Carriers I have no idea on, I was thinking that facehugger dissection could give helmet protection, but carriers could possibly give a sort of "indication" to the marine by their clawmarks that they use to make hugger traps that could alert marines (maybe a piece of eyewear like mesons) but if anyone has a another idea then it'll probably be better than this one.
Hivelord I thought could be researched for their ability to plant weeds, and researchers could look into how and why these strange weeds give xenos the ability to heal, maybe researchers could make a special tool for combat medics to "scoop" up weeds and use them on wounds to provide a small, non stackable healing bonus.
Queen
For the queen, because it's so rare, the researcher could research any of the previous items below, OR, give the marines special earmuff headsets, which would negate the queen's screeching ability, or at least reduce it. But like I said, this isn't final at all, it's just a discussion.
Facehuggers
Once researchers investigate how facehuggers work, they could make special tools for doctors to use in surgery to extract the xeno embryo faster, and maybe make a special plating that will block one facehugger, similar to how it used to work.
Interrogation and Observation
For this, researchers would first need to analyze a few xenos from the drone caste to understand how weeds work, and a few from the sentinel caste so they can acidproof the cage, and then they could make a special cage for a xenomorph. To capture one, a marine would need to critically injure a xeno, inject the xeno with a special chemical (which would allow them to be pulled into a special cage with a few artificial weeds in it) lock the door, and transport it to the researchers. From there, the researchers would either put the xeno in a pen, or keep them in the cage. Only t1 aliens could be captured, but maybe they could make a large cage for capturing t2 and t3 xenos? Anyway, when the xenos in onboard, the researchers could introduce them to monkeys, study their behavior, or, if possible, try to make out how the hivemind works, using a universal translator. I don't know if the researchers would gain anything more significant than if they just dissected the xeno, but maybe that could change. Maybe we could have the CL talk to bribing the xenos to leave the colony?
This is in no way a real suggestion, just ideas that could make playing researcher more fun or at the very least interesting. Feel free to discuss my ideas, or post your own.

Queen dissection - one ear item that translate xenos words and make what you talk to be send the meaning to the hive mind, but you gain brain damage for time using it.

That sounds pretty cool, actually. But since Alkysine can counter the brain damage, maybe it should only be a 1-2 time use sorta thing, but I like the idea.

Marine Roleplayer, puts the Queen's headset thingy > hears : "REEEEEEE" in the hivemind > Brain melting.

This all sounds good, as it would give marines a reason to CAPTURE the aliens in crit instead of just bayoneting them.

Re: Researchers: The discussion
Now thinking about the queen earpiece, I think in the lote they have some substances called telepatines, which allow the user to communicate with other telepaths, and most importantly, communicate with xenos. This is most interesting, as the xenos are a hivemind and, technically a member of the hivemind with self conscience can order the others, as they have no will. This is how the queen commands her brood, and maybe these telepathines could be introduced as a 1-use hivemind annoucement that all xenos but the Queen would have to obey to

Marc 'the Narc' stacker - combat charges and nonsensical battlecries would be his only two actions if he was a sims character
Will 'DownTown' Lersh - his "i've seen it all" attitude is only matched by his ability to throw marines further than he trusts them

Why do i get the feeling that a mememuhreen will just use this to go "I killed your leader, im in charge now!".
