They need to be buffed a little though, they're way too slow right now and they go into crit way too quickly. Other than that though, can't wait to see them out again!

The tanks were beyond awesome to watch. Seeing Apop accidentally fire the weapons many times and the sheer FF of it was really fun and hilarious.

I love to see all the improvements and next trial run.

The reason tanks weren't fully implemented yet has to be the fact that the maps are completely not fit for it. For the most part its the fact there's no way to get out of any LZ without admins deleting walls.

Big red could be easily adapted. Just tear down some walls so it can get out of the LZ and call it a day since most of the roads a very big.
Ice didn't take much to get it to work, just needed a way to get out of the rear of the LZ, easy fix.
LV could prolly be adjusted pretty easy, the tank would just have to remove some bushes then just have the tank run though the jungle.
Prison is fucked, Doubt we'll ever see that one worked to allow the tank. But since we have 24/7 CAS/OB available on that map we're pretty okay. PEOPLE JUST NEED TO LEARN TO FUCKIN CALL IN THAT CAS.

They were terrific. Best part is, if you lose it to the hive as long as you get back to it you can drag it out of there and get it repaured, or combat drop in replacement parts and fix it in the field!

There was an APC at the Sulaco, but it was forever non-functional at somewhere. And it will never be fixed.

A long time ago, they said that adding mortars wouldn't be possible. Then they added mortars.

They said the same thing about vehicles, and now they appear to be working on making them.

My concern, however, is if they'll suffer the same fate as the aforementioned mortars? When they first popped out, everyone was flipping their shit, but after a few days, people just lost interest in them and now they are an uncommon sight. Hell, some ROs even refuse to order them because they view them as a waste of points.

I wouldn't be surprised if, after the hype wears out, people stop caring about the tanks as well (moreso if it takes a lot of cargo points to keep them supplied).

Tanks were VERY powerful when they were used in just that one round. Good use of their guns could wreck a xenos day with marine support, and running xenos over and pinning them down might just be very unbalanced. Xenos learned what they needed to do to attack it, but they didn't master how to counter it completely.

Mortars on the other hand were very hard to use, could FF a whole lot more randomly, and had a strong chance of doing nothing at all. Big ol difference as they are now.

The mortar being usable is tied to 4(5) tac binocs which routinely get stolen, melted, lost, or nested behind enemy lines if not straight up forgotten about. Just ask CAS pilots. Add to this the difficulty in getting Coors to another squads engineer, and the coordination requirement of zeroing in on the target (giving xenos more than enough time to move away) and you'll find that the mortar is really only truly useful on one or two occasions per round.

Tis be Yer Commander ere, I was the Commander that round. Who knew tellin the tank to go down with only several or so marines via elavator was a bad idea. Yeah, it was me order for tank to head down. RIP tank marines and squads there. Tanks do seem badass, if it were a role it be how Spec sorta is rough spot to get if yer lucky a tank for each squad probably be too OP. Another squad strictly for this probably be good armored squad which is strictly limited.
