Best Smartgun loadout?

I personally prefer just taking a BFA for the firerate and the accuracy over having a BC as well, but that's just me. What's your favorite SG setup? What sidearm do you take, if Any?

I always shoot for a revolver with a QF to let me "fan the hammer" if you will, incase I lose an arm or I need to fire as soon as I stand or something. SMG is just too weak for my taste

I take the bfa and the bc and dont attach them. Instead I stick them into my armor. If you fight only a small amount of aliens you need the accuracy and your allies will deal damage aswell. Once you get to the endgame I will attach both because it wont matter anymore because you willl always hit something.

M4A3 .45 with 5 mags of ammo. RDS because attachments aren't for puss puss when its a straight buff.

Load up on throwing knives and two first aid pouches.

Don't wear a helmet. Wear a bandanna and say it gives you infinite ammo.


This is the correct and only way to play smartgunner.

I prefer not to modify my smartgun. Instead I choose to fully modify an M44 revolver with BC, RDS and stock with a holster rig on my belt slot, then I load up on as many speedloaders as I can. The revolver's served me well on many occasions, whether it's because I've run out of ammo very early on in the round or I've lost an arm and needed something powerful to put injured xenos down with. Throwing knife in the boots and two first aid pouches in my pockets, then I'm ready to go.

Basically just run a BC on your smartgun, and have a really good time throwing out 100-0 bursts.

BC or naked. M39 sidearm, don't waste attachments on it unless it's a rail flashlight or extended barrel or something expendable. (talking about the M39 here, not the smartgun.)

Naked smartgun is the best, in my opinion. BC is good for melting T3s, though I've found the naked smartgun to be more convenient and better at killing T1/T2s.

We don't speak about BFA.

On Prison I use BC/BFA to great effect. On other maps? No attachments. Maybe BC here and there if I'm feeling spicy. I just carry a pistol as a sidearm.

Smartgun in the nude. M39 with QF and EB (shoots hilariously fast). Fill webbing and armor with m39 ammo, maybe the mag pouch as well. Otherwise 2 med pouches, one injectors only, depends on who the medics are.

BC Smartgun, QF/EB M39 with nothing but AP. BC Smartgun can literally kill T1s with one single burst, and given that every time you see a Queen or T3 you'll fire all 50 rounds at it chasing it down (as long as you're smart enough to position yourself properly) you cannot live without the raw DPS increase from a BC. This is the correct, most useful, most robust SG loadout. Personally I take a mag pouch with 2 AP mags, first aid pouch, 2 AP mags in armor, 2 spare autoinjectors in webbing and either an extra AP mag or an M15 in the webbing if I'm feeling spicy. Naked SG isn't bad on the unfortunate occasion that req passes out all it's BCs.

Smartgun without BC, as I like my firing speed. I kind of use it to provide fire support, and scare off xenos.

Then again I'm playing CM since january so im still kinda noob.

Alright, before the movement and accuracy changes, it was BC/BFA. Bar none, the most fun and hilarious load out which I dubbed "The Bunga-Blaster". However, since the attachments were rebalanced, and moving trashes accuracy, BC/BFA will make you miss literally point blank shots. So now, I've been rocking stock.
