The only thing I will not interally salt over people wearing ground is a Beret, as it looks AWESOME. But I still disagree wearing it groundside, and it looks WAY more tacticool if you have a Helmet, Breath mask, and Ballistic goggles.

I wear berets because I like the sprite way more and I find that there's hardly much of a difference between using a helmet and using a beret. If I ever put a helmet on it's usually because I'm an important role, such as SL, and I know Command needs to see out of my perspective (or I'm getting threatened with brig if I don't put one on).

Do the ballistic goggles offer real protection?

I got blinded by a single slash from a hunter. No head broken, no big damage beyond that. Guess the RNG didn't favor me. Would the googles have made any difference, mechanically?

The only reason to wear a helmet is to store two protein bars, or if you're truly robust a protein bar and throwing knife. The extra head armor is not actually all that helpful, it's better to just do what you enjoy. If you like the way your mob looks with a hat or bandana other whatever, more power to you. Just don't complain when your pudgy ass needs more snacks.

I don't promote as aSL those who don't wear helmets and a SL not using it has high chances of getting demoted. No cam, no overwatch.

If you wanna show how bald you are just wear the headband, due to a bug the headband prevents your hairstyle from showing as long as you wear it. Without helmets how will i store my stale nasty ass MRE protein bars to choke down and regret?

Anyone higher than a marine should be wearing helmets as they may have to take over the squad as squad leader. The power of a good SO being able to see what’s going on outweighes how cool you look with a hat.

Gasmask and the ballistic goggles in my helmet used to be my old helmet load out.
Sadly, I must now choose due to gasmask update so I just wear sunglasses if I am a marine higher than Pfc.

Other than that, helmets are for holding your cigs and zippo.
I used to wear the gas mask every round before it restricted view. NO IDEA WHY A CLEAR GAS MASK RESTRICTS VIEW

Oh yeah I remember. I Demoted and flagged you after warning multiple times.

Not something you want as a squad leader at the price of a helmet now. And as per marine law, repeated offenses can land you in perma too even.

Not really worth it if you ask me, cause chances are youll ruin your fun and leave the squad without an SSGT.

The hate I get for my tactical paper hat is fucking stupid.

*I use it because I have problems seeing my dude and a white tope kinda says "Hey here you are don't FF those guys".

True facts my FF % is up like 47% due to this shit, but der lord let a mp see that paper hat regardless of rank or duty.

You know its not to enforce the fact that you guys wan't to be snowflakes.

its so when I'm sifting through helmet cams I can see where a marine is or see what he see's. The more people that wear berets and headbands, the less vision SO's and CO's have on the map.

Its not even to grief at this point, its just for practicality. And I guarantee your SO will be able to guide marines to your corpse if he can see through your helmet.

I used to be a hardcore beret snowflake. But now, EAT Bar Helmet with rolled up sleeves is extreme aesthetic.

Looks super nice in all armor types too!

It also protects you from getting destroyed by Hunter (666).

A Delta doesn't need a helmet. There's nothing there to protect.

A young runner can do that if you have no helmet. With an ancient you are more likely to get decaped.
