Reverse Bursting : Feature or bug ?

There's been way too much confusion about not being able to shoot/get items from containers while inside a xeno. decided to open this just so people could throw in their 2 cents.

It has always been a feature. You get your knife out and you slash the xeno up from inside!

I say that to be able to do so is a feature. And you say the not being able to do so is a bug. We are saying the same thing.

So technically, Xenos are abusing bugs ?

It's a bug. Apparently it has to do with being stunned while you're devoured because it pauses you so you remain stunned while devoured. The few reverse burstings that occur are generally from xenos that devour standing prey, which is rare to get unresisting victims.

You can still try to bust out by moving. While clicking the Xeno doesn't work using wasd or arrow keys will still register attacks. Also you still can't equip items while devoured, so you'll probably be using your fists.

Whitey was whacking me from the inside yesterday with a chain of command, which I am assuming came from a satchel. I spat him out, and he put his boot knife in his satchel before I could tackle him again. He then whacked me with that from the inside for a bit before getting barfed into a hugger.

So if you have something in your satchel I think you can pull it out, as it stands.
