Petition for a CO Whitelisted Discord Text Channel.

I disagree, i dont think the white list should give you a discord channel, plus you would cut out the XO's with not sharing plans with people who play XO. the AAR channel also fills some of this void i believe.

Why not a general command staff channel, so that whoever’s on the command team that round can hop in and discuss dank strats and what not without having to be whitelisted

Actually, yeah. I would really love a section of the discord dedicated to engineering, req, command, and just general marine shenangins. It'll take up alot of channels, but I guess that's whats categories are for. Wait, why doesn't the discord use categories?

I think it is far more efficient to use the forums for strategies, since it will not be scrolling and the slower speeds will give people more time to write out responses.

The Discord isn't using categories because we don't need them. We really don't need 6 additional channels for every single branch that's not going to be used anyway while we have #general around - I really cannot comprehend the people's need to create needless clutter and make things more messy, complicated and in effect slowly kill them.

But back on topic, we've got a new AAR channel on the Discord that you can use to discuss last round's command, strategies et cetera. So far all I'm seeing there is people kissing eachother and memes. Yet an another reason not to add more channels.

The Yautja channel is mostly used as a notification of pred rounds and slot availability and memes.

I would support the creation of a sub forum of the USCM forum page: "Officers Lounge" for CIC players to share ideas etc. This wouldn't be whitelist restricted and serve as the focal point for plans strategies and ideas etc.

It would be pretty cool, I don't see a problem with it. I do think it should not be for whitelist only, but you have to actually be talking about strategy, and not memeing everywhere.
