I've seen this a few times - marine line out the corner, one cargo tech trying to handle everything, deployment time getting closer and closer.
So I wonder - who should try helping the Requisitions during the early game rush if there aren't enough cargo techs?
Also since we're at it - wouldn't it be cool if cargo techs had some HUD indicator as to whether a given marine is a specialist, medic, etc. so they'd know easier who to serve those extra attachments and who to shoo away easier?

SOs or MTs. They don't really have much to do in the early game.
EDIT: not many MTs, as they have the reactors to set up, but I do not think the XO should be doing anything.

If its a lack of manpower then an XO/SO or the Synth can assist if ordered by the CO, though the CO shouldnt really be getting himself directly involved and let CTs/RO handle as much as they can.

All headsets have a squad hud, the marine headsets just start with it enabled. Rightclick your headset to turn it on.

SOs do not have access to the Req vendor.

The synth or the XO. The CO at a pinch so long as the commander has left the planning to an SO or subordinate.
They do, right click your headset and activate the HuD, same with all headsets I believe.
FYI the MT's can't do anything in req and it's the same with SOs as well.

Well, that is dumb. They are 3rd in control of the ship and they can't use the vendor thing? I'm also surprised they can't get in research.

Nobody, and the CT should just git gud and man both lines at once (Which you CAN do by the way)

You either man both line at once, or you open one line and either let Charlie+Delta or Alpha+Bravo suffer for their existence.
Also, if you have full slots of Req staff, one dude should be in the vendors throwing shit out at the ready for the 2 serving the line to grab and give as fast as possible.
If you have one or even no Req staff, XO should be helping. If attachments can be handled by one person, PO/SO can help with the back vendors, since they have access there.
