In my personal experience, punching xenos mostly just serves to piss them the Hell off. I've yet to see anything come of that method.

Have you ever felt the glory of AXEING a xeno a question and them falling before your curiousity? It is quite wonderful.

Never underestimate the power of melee. On corrupted xeno events the Humans managed to wipe out one of the hives by swarming them with baseball bats, glass shards and metal rods.

Putting the axe down on a xeno is the best feeling.
