The true man's section of weapons. What are your favorite melee weapons in the game and why?

spear. It's easy to make and you can just throw it and pick it up again/setup a new one if you prepare your battlefield correctly.

Yep. Critting a Xeno with a fire axe or telescopic baton has to be one of the most satisfying things in the game.

Almost as good as a good OB strike. If they ever happened.

I carry a machete when I PFC to clear sticky resin, I've used it a few times to kill xenos that get too close.

There was a time before when you could melee xenos and no acid sprayed you. THOSE were the days when almost everyone took a good melee weapon.

My favorite is, of course, the machete. Because easy to get and easy to use.

My favorite melee weapon would have to be the exosuit drill on LV.
If you can get close enough to anyone to use it, they're dead. Just straight up dead.

But it's useless in normal rounds. The last and only time I tried using it against xenos, I got SADAR'd in the back, stomped by a crusher, grenaded and to add insult to injury, had my head shot off.

Baseball bats. It deals at flat 14 damage and that fucking stun chance is higher than a fucking toolbox. I like prolonging the pain and misery of my victims (why do you think I always use a M4A3 on xenos?)

Telebaton, can delimb and cause a fuck ton of hurt.

Also fits in pockets.
