Now some of you may not believe me, but being an MP main is not as boring or as bad as you think. You just gotta think of the bright side, "when the ancient defenders get up here I get access to the best armor, I can quickly get rail lights and also I can grab a tactical or a uber pulse rifle, and I can launch the Normandy and leave if I decide to run like a bitch." In saying that, that's not the only thing we MP mains have that I consider a bonus.
We get to have the funniest jokes to make and sometimes we'll get special marines imprisoned, not just special as in, in the head, or something, I mean special as in hilarious as hell and know it. MTs a lot of the time are guilty of this, they will joke around and prank us MPs and we'll have to catch them. Or Delta who is right behind the MTs in hilariousness, due to either acting insane but funny in cells (doing the speshal forces trick) and giving us something to do, or generally being salty as hell. They then are followed by the biggest bags of salt, the CL's they are hardcore RP'ers, make for a fun time chasing them down, they just take it too serious some games though and do try to admin report us MPs. Then there's researchers and their drug dealings and just general randomness and explosions 6/10 times if something blows up it's them.
I decided to go MP a lot just cause I need to prove I rp a lot, but also cause I'm the safest aboard the ship basically (unless someone decides to use a shotgun slug to adjust my facial structure with) and most of the people I like to be around stay shipside, however you'll see me in charlie robusting my ways out of ambushes carrying someone right behind me as well and having nobody else being able to escape the ambushes that I worm away from.
Plus what's funnier than putting the guys who FF you behind bars? Nothing, legit nothing is that bad and then you have...the boxborgs... shiver the horror, or the admeme inquisition who nobody suspects until it is too late.
Luckily Anders' communism makes him robust and lets him defect very easily to enemy forces if he tries really hard

Other than that, yeah MP is usually kind of fun. Once in a blue moon you'll get a truly amazing round where you really got to pull out what you've learned over your collective times of MP.

Man it was crazy yesterday, balancing the UPP and CL who had a PMC extraction sent after he was shot by a UPP soldier for trying to get in on the UPP-USCM dealings, having to leave the detained CL in the medbay when I entered the Alamo and was slept right through it launching, then having to race to arrest him as the PMC’s arrived to get him.

Man it was crazy yesterday, balancing the UPP and CL who had a PMC extraction sent after he was shot by a UPP soldier for trying to get in on the UPP-USCM dealings, having to leave the detained CL in the medbay when I entered the Alamo and was slept right through it launching, then having to race to arrest him as the PMC’s arrived to get him.

That is a reason Anders and her make good friends, Anders comes from a colonist background and believes everyone gets what they deserve only they should get it lightly. So he'll warn and say to knock it off and such until he has to arrest them or not. And will try to repeatedly get Jack Knight ousted before he can Gestapo the entire ship

Looking back, it becomes more and more apparent that MPs exist almost exclusively for the preservation of Role-play.

Think about it: They keep the Marines penned in the Briefing Hall, and prevent gratuitous amounts of Unga-Dunga pre-op. They stop Tech Sergeants from turning a janitorial closet into a bar. They strip survivors of weapons so they -Don't- murder the Liason out of (Understandable) frustration.

It's basically the equivalent of being the usher at a drunken wedding party.

And I have got to say, it is pretty damn rewarding at times.

I'll add MPs often end up having to deal with Low RP bullshittery while playing in a more Medium to High Roleplay fashion.
To add icing to the cake, sprinkle in multiple IC disrespecting by the Pfc (lets be honest. It would be a Pfc) to get bonus charges of disrespecting a superior. Jesus marine just shut up and deal with the time. If you can't handle that don't do the crime and listen to MPs.
