Is dual wielding a thing?

Post by Xango » 29 May 2018, 02:26

I recently found out you can fire any gun with only one hand, can we now dual wield pulse rifles?

That was among the things nerfed by the recent weapon changed , now the only thing dualwielding achieves is doing zero damage because you can't actually hit anything even at point blank.

So they miss anyways even though you aim them at the right direction... that sucks

My main issue with being able to fire any gun with one hand is that I have an alarming tendency to accidently fire my guns.

At least you'll generally miss people even at point blank range, but its still annoying.

It has totally been removed from being any useful. Even with correct attachments you won't have any use from dual wielding.

Though if you want a touch of nostalgy, you could dual wield weapons and shoot bursts individually (which if well used, would almost suppress the cooldown resulting in full auto OR bursts of 6 with high running speed). Would work with SMG BFA (as they were 1handed). That would tear through T1 and T2 like cheese in a constant hailstorm of bullets.

Downside would be the tremendous amount of ammo it requiers and the not-so-easy reloads but, it worked just fine.

Anyway, currently it's techically possible to dual wield but the effectiveness is more than two times lower than using weapons properly.

Yes and no, all at the same time.

"It was a fantastic round. If the CO hadn't cryo'ed before the end I'd have bothered him to give at least two more medals. To PFC Max Dallas, who kept doing the path between the frontlines to FOB (the only place with medical aid) with a roller bed, and saved a lot of marines who'd have husked otherwise. And to Dr. Haley Altman, who after all medics were gone was fixing us time and again for hours straight. At the end there were over 10 patients around her either dead or in crit, and she just kept going."

I'm PRETTY sure SMGs were nerfed to be inaccurate in one hand but if they weren't, they're p good to dual wield.

Burst fire assembly and any other attachments to increase firerate and burst amount, and you got full auto 100 bullets to fire down range. As a PMC if you dual wield the starting SMGs you can solo a fuckin' ravager with ease. Because AP

Best advice is to ALWAYS get AP though. Regular mags are good for scaring away the xenos, AP can murderize them at full auto

Every weapon is 2h now. Even pistols.
Shooting a weapon one handed reduce accuracy, enhance scatter.
Running and shooting too.
Shooting with two weapons in hands will make both fire at the same time AND with another scatter/accuracy penalty.

All three penalties adds to the other.
There is no way you can counter those with any attachments to make any dual wielding useful.

I believe that nerf was also meant to allow shooting when delimbed or while running away fast with a sort of cover fire.

Yep, i'l tried double rifle combo on both of them were rds\gyro\stock\suppressor, 8 attachments in total.
30-40% of accuracy. Dual welding IS NOT WORKING. Its just a joke-trap for marines.

I don´t like how pistols are two handed. I get why and they should get a BOOST from being held in both hands, but if you are dragging a guy you still need that pistol in order to fend off or scare away some T1s. Or if you lose a hand, pistol for that.
