Yes this happens, yes marines loose entire limbs immediately due to glass piles and cheap dares.
Please, you take over 200+ damage from a stack of 10+ glass from just stepping on it with no boots on.
I believe more glass is killing marines than xenos at the moment

it wasn't me, I'm yet to step on one, but I know at least half of Charlie has done it and most of Bravo...
someone once had 250+ damage from doing it once....

Draging people shoe-less into 20+piles of glass is a time honored SS13 tradition. No prints, little blood. 5 damage adds up.

on stations with safe disposals it makes a great trap to eject people over, especially degenerate non-humans that cant wear shoes.

Don't do it in CM, tho, unless you want a bannu. Still, encouraging people to walk on the gibbing glass is pretty damn funny. My favorite part is that you can always hear the scream from several screens away, so you know when someone did it.

This is old news, we did science months ago on ice and LV. First, they had me step on glass on ice and uh, all my bones groin and legs were broken instantly cause they shoved me in it again trying to help...

The second time we got ALL the glass in hydro, medical, and some from fitness on LV into one pile. A brave deltard volunteered instead of me, and uhh....

His leg shot off into my face and he was essentially husked on the spot..

If a marine had robot feet, would the damage still happen?

It really shouldn't because the glass doesn't have skin to rip and tear. But it probably still will due to Byond.

I think the best part is that Omicega was Chloe this match and someone did it and died from it, and I had them defib them, only to tell Chloe, "Don't ask what we did," to which she responded, "Oh I can guess exactly what you did." And pointed to the glass pile, I almost cried a bit.

I remember the first time I encountered the glass pile...It was a long round of FOB duty, the price to pay for leading Bravo Squad. We were on Lv-624 and after the Nexus was secured, I asked for new orders to no avail. It was because of this doing nothing thay my men had begun to pile up all the glass into center Nexus, and before I knew it, my SO was yelling at me, for I had over HALF of the men under my control unable to move,
Much less fight due to the dreaded glasspile. Good times, good times...
