The tank started off as poop.

Then it got beefed up to the point that it can make or break a round.

Tank is basically the one thing marines have that is as strong as the xenos, so yeah a good tank team can win a round or lose it.

World War 2 is where the Tank was a make or break.

Germans Blitzed the fucking Allies or Poland = GGEZ

Tiger II also gets clubbed by the Sherman. Its sort of the ice breaker. And it should be the fear of all xenos. Its only two marines with a big boomy boy and some piece of shit secondary weapon tho. So like.....just slash it a few times and you'll be good, or get ran over and set on fire. Doomed to burn to death while your trapped under the treads that it greases with your blood.

A tank with the LBT, overdrive, concussive armor, and a flamer crewed by competent TCs is a death machine. Especially on ice’s surface or big red. I feel like the tank is finally in a good place in terms of power. A bad TC can still make it a marine nerf-vehicle as it runs over cades and ff’s. A good tank team can win a round with a bit of luck.

OD speed isn't the problem. The problem is that the stun sticks for a considerable amount of time even when the tank gets off of youx and the fact that you're not stunned, just outright slept.

It sucks getting ran over. Tank is stupid strong.

But... Xenos gotta get good. Flank, go around, etc. Tank is slow and cumbersome. Xenos are fast.

Xenos can literally see through walls, if you get run over it's your own fault.

The tank is only good so long as it has competent TCs driving it and decent marines surrounding it (to protect it and finish off run-over xenos). If xenos coordinate enough then it shouldn't be a problem.
When the OB misfires and xenos are on your doorstep.

Yeah I've seen the tank lay out a lot of smack down, but it's effectiveness does seem largely effective on the skill of the infantry escorting it. Blowing a lot of points on the tank and having competent tankcrew helps, but isn't enough on its own to reliably get kills (unless the xenos players are unskilled).

It's at a very comfortable place in the meta now, imo.

The tanks sleep stun (bug?) IS OP asf BUT legit if you get run over you deserve it. tank is loud, reasonably slow and the hive almost always knows where it roughly is. Just dont try mess with the tank if your not sure you can take it. its not worth it

Tank's stun is perfectly balanced when you look at all the bullshit ways a xeno can permastun a marine. To get stunned by the tank you need to be dumb enough to attack it from the front.

Just a reminder, that for any map but Ice you need minimum 5 competent people to have actually strong tank: 2 good TCs, who don't order shit like Cupola and Minigun with Artillery module (witnessed that myself), 1 not bald MT to fix tank and install modules, 1 not retarded Req staff who will order shit for tank and not 5 HPRs or fucking mortar, 1 Competent squad engineer who knows what he is doing to make pass through Nexus and Hydro on LV, Admin-Medbay pass on Big Red, I'm not even saying about Prison, where you need roughly 10-12 C4s and take down approximately 8 walls to get to alien Hive.

To have one good tank you need amount of cooperation and teamwork aliens rarely demonstrate in 2-3 rounds.

the tank can roll through walls too, but it fucks the durability of the tank when it does it. so if you really need to pass through medical you can just power through the walls.

A good tank with a coordinated support squad can kill upwards of 15-20 xenos in a round. A bad tank with careless support can cost req hundreds of points and FF entire squads, not counting marines that get run over. It's hard to consider something that can give such different results OP when it's more the skill and teamwork involved in it that determines if the tank's good or not than the tank itself half the time.
