OD speed isn't the problem. The problem is that the stun sticks for a considerable amount of time even when the tank gets off of youx and the fact that you're not stunned, just outright slept.

Yeah I've seen the tank lay out a lot of smack down, but it's effectiveness does seem largely effective on the skill of the infantry escorting it. Blowing a lot of points on the tank and having competent tankcrew helps, but isn't enough on its own to reliably get kills (unless the xenos players are unskilled).
