Since I've been playing again, it seems Charlie has a lot of new faces. Yet, its SLs tend to either be some baldy no-name or someone I've never seen before (the difference with the latter being significantly better). It could just be the timezones and/or all the good old players come on at weird times.

Every Squad is fairly decent? South Req line is labeled as "2" and it is opened as first and gets closed as last. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Let's ignore the fact that it's closer to the armories or something.

Aside from like alpha on some days and bravo on others all squads remain pretty consistently good in my opinion.

Then again, I never play bravo or alpha, so maybe their squad comms is actually nothing but a giant shitfest.

Yeah no CABAL's kinda right there. There is a reason charlie/delta req line opens first and closes last.

It sure as hell isn't because it's closer to the ordering console, back room vendors, and there's no obstacle preventing you from just kobe-ing shit near the back room's entrance.

Because of the position of the ships axis putting the port side at the bottom of your screen it's where your eyes naturally go and your mind focuses on and shit. It's why we take the port hallways so much more then the starboard ones. It's just the natural flow of things.

And because of the reasons everyone just said.

I'm probably one of the "new generation" Charlies that you described, been a grape main for about a year now (though only a few months or so on my current char Barry Packer) and it's the RP and camaraderie that keeps me coming back. Charlie breakfast is probably one of the best things about the squad imo, all the mains attend it so you know how robust the squad is gonna be for that op and its a good oppurtunity to have some pre-op banter and mateship form.

I feel like a decent portion of my deaths nowdays can be attributed to me trying to over zealously rescue a downed charlie, but its worth it because if I fail their will be some other purple fool run who leaps the cades to drag me back, and if I succeed its a new IC friend I've made that directly improves my ingame experience for that round and future rounds.

Also I've been involved (some could say I instigated, but I would disagree) with the recent delta-charlie squad brawls in canteen/south dorms, I generally view them as our autistic sibling squad. I'll punch on with a delta because I know they won't snitch to the MP's afterwards, but I also woulden't trust em not to try and stab me to death in the bathroom (which they did do once). It probably does get a little too far when someone dies, but hey it gives the doctors something to do at the start and it gets everyones ungas out before the op so theirs nothing but trust and cohesion in the field with our fellow deltas.
NO, NO, NO! When did Charlie ever had this "BREAKFAST" thing?! NOOOOO!!!

It's not hard to revive the Charlie Breakfast. Just start saying, "Breakfast is at 12:15 for those who want it. Grape Souto will be there."

It'd died back when I was SLing and I was somebody who tried bringing it back somewhat.

Caryl started it I believe actually. Not sure.

We have different ideas of lowpop then. During my hours, it's not uncommon to see squads made up of literally just the spec and smartgunner.

Ngl, I miss the Charlie breakfasts. Been a Charlie since I started playing here. Always appreciated the RP and camaraderie, and also the fact that the Grapes don't usually just leave you to die while they Unga forward like a certain other Req 2 Line Squad.

All squads are overall lacking in unity/camaraderie at the moment, but I guess we're just in another cycle of new players settling in.
Charlie in the beggining of this year was really fun, breakfasts were common and there were lots of regulars. In the middle of the year it seemed like a lot of new players joined and the squad kinda became overall bald, but now it's going back up in quality. It's like a pendulum, during a certain period delta gets a lot of baldies and charlie gets more regulars, then charlie gets baldies and delta gets more regulars.

There are a couple of things going on with Charlie right now:
-Charlie is just a Delta back up; If something happens to Delta we get thrown into the fray with them.
-Gimmicky players will come in and eventually just run off to Delta to meme with them.
-At the moment there are a FEW Charlie mains, but no one worth noticing.
-Charlie has been a more comfy squad without a specialty.
-The Charlie vs Deltard rivalry gets out of hand sometimes, but there's fun in it.

Charlie just doesn't have a set niche. There's nothing particularly special about it right now. Bravo has FOB, Alpha and their Unga-ness, Delta and their playerbase favoritism... Charlie and their... breakfast? Honestly, all squads follow their orders more often than not and that's Charlie's most "favored trait". I mean, there's a lot of ragging on Delta in comms, but that just feels like resentment at this point. I won't lie, I chime in too out of resentment, usually because when I start to get comfortable with a new Charlie regular they end up shifting to Delta quietly. At this point, I only recognize Violet, Windhealer and Audi. That's when they played though. There's nothing special about being a Charlie. I've even noticed that a few Charlie's are Delta rejects, either because they got stuck with Charlie for their role, or they didn't fit in with the Delta crowd. Charlie's just the in between, pity.
Look, I've heard your cries, and your calls.
I know you're mad at Command. I know you're angry. I know you're angry that those dinosaurs killed your fellow men.
You told me this, and I heard you.
But you shouldn't be angry at your command. If you're angry at command, you're saying that command sent those men to die. But command didn't kill those men. The enemy killed those men. They took your comrades from you. That's the important thing to remember, it was the enemy who took your friends, and you should be really REALLY mad at them.
Before you go back down there, I'm reminding you who your enemy is. The enemy.
