right, i only gave out the HPRs when i had a huge load of supplies and nobody had been asking for anything for around 20 minutes or the one round where the crate of them appeared

thanks for the advice
Even with tons of points, you can spend it extra metal, plasteel, sandbags if it isn't prison, AP, stuff for the tank. Stuff like extra OBs and supply beacons - or maybe a sentry if you're really hurting for stuff to buy. All these help more than one person.

If you get an HPR from the weapons crate in req, you're all set, but it's always better to stockpile what MIGHT be needed over what one person wants for fun.

I think I'll write up a guide on how to play RO, since I usually am told I do well with it.

HPRs are loud, ineffective pieces of garbage. They fire normal m4 rounds slower, and with less accuracy.
That's completely not true. HPR damage is notably higher than regular M4 damage. Accuracy/spread is slightly worse. HPR's often change hands a lot during an op. I pretty rarely see one person hold onto it the entire round. I've had several people confirm the HPR converts normal rounds into HPR rounds, somehow. It's just a slightly better M4, and it can put in work. AP is better, but the HPR isn't as shitty as people like to say it is.

If you get HPRs from the big red labs or the free REQ Crate, then yeah, they're good.
But they simply are not worth 60 points. Like, at all. 30 points at most.

Given that it's a slightly better M4, but not really, then I'd say yeah - it's pretty garbage for what it costs. Doesn't matter if people switch hands with the HPR. It's still only one person using it at a time

Honestly I am mostly just sick of sending down AP rounds and having them not be used. If I am ordering an HPR it's usually just to make someone happy or because I know it will at least be used. Metal is mostly a waste of points, solely because there is so much metal on the ship and by the time engineers need more, you are probably at the point where you should be considering scavving canteens. I usually order maybe two crates of metal in a long round.

A lot of this would be fixed if they would let you fill regular M4 mags with AP instead of this bizarre system we have now that I imagine is there due to an issue with how mixing rounds works code-wise. A lot of players don't even know how the big bulk round boxes work, so you see AP mags littering the ground and RO's that never order them because nobody refills their god damn mags.

If marines don't know how to refill their AP boxes, you shouldn't even trust them with AP in the first place.

This is likewise where bramb began saying he lives in albania. They additionally continued pinging me with the albanian banner. They called me female. They called me gay. They said I have down disorder. They called me different names too. Also, bramb said he lives in albania when he professes to live in The Netherlands too. Lying again.

I have given Phi and Broden HPRs on multiple occasions and they do tell me it does well for them. But that's almost always when I get the HPR out of the weapon crate in the back.

We're not saying HPRs are trash. HPRs ARE good, yes, but they sure as hell are not worth 60 points.
