Yeah they are pretty effective too, here's a screenshot of the only fort that fell (surprise surprise it was gassed), the remnants of it are in the red box.

I suspect marine stacking will be banned, but having a line of small forts seems pretty good to me. Might want a normal FOB for medics and supplies, but it wouldnt need to be anywhere near as big. Lack of medics close by would be an issue though.

DChat went crazy on LZ when you held out and the xenos had a hard time clicking your sprite through the bottom cade. I thought it was a one-time thing.

If that happens, then we are gonna have to start implementing walls to fill the gaps.

They work pretty well from my experience, moreso when you know how to shoot around them.

Then what? They can't slash you, and the second you stand up they eat PB, BC, Buckshot. If the claymores don't get them first.

The comment I posted was Snarky, but I genuinely want to know how this would be a deathtrap? You are questioning the effectiveness of it but I'd like to know why.

My comment was slightly facetious, but I suppose the disadvantages would be the aforementioned boiler cloud, or being cut-off/surrounded and having your cades melted. Although it certainly seems like a sound strategy other than that, so I will have to try it for myself.

You know acid spits exist.. They dont even need to get too close to Kill you. There are some advantages on these mini bunkers, But you will end up dying at some point. But hell, i want to try that sometime.
