Cuckshot him twice and he skree's away, go to chase and as it gets past some marines who start to give chase it trades places with a queen appearing through resin doorway3. get help shuffled behind resin doorway2 so dont get stunned because no see queeno no get scaredo, drop empty shotgun pick up HPR marine dropped and make mumma bitch run off, Marines stand up so i drop HPR and run leaving the boom boys to do thier job. Notice the rav behind the marines knocking one flat but clearing a path for me, LEG IT. Pull out wrench booping Rav twice before hauling ass throwing the wrench back at the rav and pulling my screwdriver out. hit rav once as its charge falls short AND IT RETREATS. run to medbay where the DS is "parked and marines are saving captured. Do a lap of the DS screaming HELP before running back towards the rav seeing it sleeping in a corner. walk up and start shanking. rav charges. ded.

Didnt even get a kill and it was worth it to hear i did like 1/4 or some ridiculous damage, please nerf screwdriver

Whenever I get the chance to melee a xeno as a marine.

I may not be the most robust out there, but god damn it is fun to get to give xenos a good slashing. I even won some of those fights too, like the one time I killed a young ravager with a machete, or cut the shit out of a defender to the point it started running away while I was already HEAVILY WOUNDED.

People gotta give bayonets and bootknives some more affection, they are pretty nifty despite the side effect of there being a chance to get acid splashed.
Sometimes, bravery comes from the most unlikely sources.

Many where I risked my ass to save people in the middle of xeno pushes, but I hold a particular memory of a Big Red round where charlie was being destroyed in engineering and had to retreat to DS2. I went into engie to save a guy who was left in crit, all while a crusher was coming (this was when crushers still had their tackle and health)and managed to grab-throw him to the SL outside engie before being CRUSHED.COM
As for "crazy", I memed a runner in a recent survivor round with the fire axe on LV while having two broken bones. Yuh.

This was back in the good old days when I still had the GLORIOUS FLOOR LENGTH BRAID.

Big Red, captured and infected. Aliens had a forward base in medical and were assaulting the FOB. As you do when you're in good health and captured, I was calling for help. With my squad (Delta, back when we REALLY deserved the reputation for being the shit squad) farting about with their heads up their asses, I decided to deal with it myself. Got up, shotgunned out of my nest, killed a drone that was watching me, broke out another marine I was chatting to, and walked my ass back to the FOB. And chested bursted on the shuttle ride home. Fuck.

Not to brag, but I do dumb stuff all the time! Usually it works out, sometimes it doesn’t.
I’ll share one I remember. Usually they’re small “charge and save that marine” things but this one was crazy important for the round.
1. Big Red, way back when. The Xenos were pushing and we needed to advance, and nobody did. Grabbing someone’s shotgun with bucky, I flanked around and through cargo into medical, where their hive was. A SG joined me. We cleared a good handful of Xenos and got their attention, letting the marines rush in.
We took the planet.

One stormy night on prison station Apollo Kendric was unfortunately face hugged and nested alone deep behind enemy lines. He was able to escape multiple times each time knife fighting a pesky runner that was keeping him down. Eventually the runner rid him of his knives and had left him to die. Apollo slid a flare out of his pouch and lit it. He whacked the absolute shit out of the resin door like a 42 year old man beating his wife. He escaped the cell and wandered the halls towards the fob finding a shotgun along the way. He fought off multiple Xenos killing a few in the process. He made it behinds the cades and towards DS1. Just as he stepped foot onto his escape he fell and was chest bursted. This ends the tale of this incarnation of Apollo Kendric. There will be more.

Taking a point-blank Boiler shot to save 3 marines trapped at Cargo on LV from a timely death by Geneva convention failure.

Captain Darren Hightower. Went through every round he had scrounged for his smartgun (Something around seven-hundred over the course of the battle), ran out of Mateba rounds, too.

Was down to a Louisville Slugger he found.

Man killed a few facehuggers, chased off a crusher by cracking it over the head whilst running after it, and actually helped kill another crusher which had been knocked over by buckshot and trapped behind sandbags. Obviously, he didn't kill it -Himself-, but he was still going Toll Booth Willie on it.

Eventually had to drop the bat for something else, but still.

I remember that round. He actually said a few times that he was fighting with just a baseball bat because that's all he had left. I thought he was joking though...
