I don't choose to play in any specific squad myself. I prefer to let RNG decide. My reasons?

Well, for one, I like to mix it up. Keep things unpredictable and interesting, thus make each round more varied instead of having the same squad, same people and same objective round after round.

And second, I like to share my skills with all squads. I don't want to restrict my talents to a single group. Sure, having more "robust" people in a single group means they'll be higher quality overall, but I'd rather distribute the balance of power more evenly between the 4 squads. Better to have 4 squads with people of various levels of skill than to have a single squad with all the elites in it while the other 3 squads are made up of incompetents. Plus, it is good to have role-models for the noobs to look up to, just as I had back when Xur used to play. Good role-models means more good marines in the future.

Litterally, the reason I am grumpy and answers "Well go die on your own."
In short. It's better to yell some barely intelligible location then to yell HALP. DYING! and then curse out your squad … unless of course you are going for the stereotype.

Oh and I suppose I like Charlie and play it because it's a manageable, fun, communicative squad. Alpha tends to be controllable to a high degree but also incompetent... Bravo tends to be FoB BOIs... Delta tends to rambo and virtually ceases to exist as a 'organized' (VERY LOOSE TERM HERE) group once combat starts
