Every time I'm RO he asks for one, and gets made at me if I say no.

I mean, for 4 points more (counting discount for the HPR crate and the discount for the 1 BC crate + 1 AP mag crate) you can get 2 more BCs for 2 more M41s or M37s to rack up kills, and 10 AP mags to supply the front with something that actually FUCKING HURTS and won't tag a target on your back.

It is, but I think the beefy bit is what makes people grossly overestimate what the HPR is capable of.

Ikr.

Anything else than BC RDS VG ain't worth it.
If spread wasn't shit at long range or if bipods would actually works we could do BC bipod railscope to accurately shoot bursts of 3 off screens with 100% accuracy and no spread. But no.

How to handle a HPR request:

Step one: take the request

Step two: put out the denied stamp

Step Three: stamp the request

Step Four: Show it to the muhreen

Step Five: put the request into disposal

Step Six: Put the muhreen into disposal too

Step Six (alternative): Command the most useless shit you find for 60 points

Despite the controversy, the HPR is ironically more damage efficient than the SG. Also, RO's that buy multiple HPR's rise up. We're few in numbers, but high in cost.
Look, I've heard your cries, and your calls.
I know you're mad at Command. I know you're angry. I know you're angry that those dinosaurs killed your fellow men.
You told me this, and I heard you.
But you shouldn't be angry at your command. If you're angry at command, you're saying that command sent those men to die. But command didn't kill those men. The enemy killed those men. They took your comrades from you. That's the important thing to remember, it was the enemy who took your friends, and you should be really REALLY mad at them.
Before you go back down there, I'm reminding you who your enemy is. The enemy.

The challenge is you gotta treat it like an SG that can FF.

Also, tried out a HPR with recoil comp, red dot, and burst fire assembly. Gotta say, I got much better results. In the same hallway. same last stand as RO. I was able to hold down the hallway against 5 Xenos by myself for a solid 3 minutes. Allowing the other marines nearby to worry about the other xenos that had flanked our position.

Only reason I died. Was cause I got cocky and rushed a defender that had fortified so I could PB it. That backfired horribly (by my own mistakes) and I was punished for it with death.

Was a good time. Scaring those xenos to hide around the corner with a near endless hail of bullets. Just watch out for the spread.

HPR needs a niche. Im thinking, Emphasize the weight of the rifle, and how it gives low recoil, has low bullet spread, and can be an accurate weapon if locked down in a stable area.

Proposed update:
- Lower recoil down to minimal (This guns so fuckin heavy and fires so slow, no 10mm bullet is gonna move it and the 300 round drum of bullets.)
- Reduce bullet spread on the gun to minimal amounts. Its a heavy gun, your gripping it with both hands, and its rate of fire is a slow walk in the park.

Possible other additions:
- Increase the rate of fire by a smidge
- Possibly remove the low accuracy modifiers to the gun and keep it the same accuracy as the m41a? (If the bipod becomes a useable attachment, i dont think this would be needed), make it less accurate when moving with it?

what would make this weapon shine, is if bipods were able to be deployed anywhere to set up shop. ( Possible thoughts: To set up a bipod, you need to stand still for 2 seconds. If you move or get moved, you have to reset the bipod again)
Gaze upon me,
for I have wandered deep into the ancient tombs of knowledge to which lie madness and sorrow, cleansing a path for all those who walk behind me...

...

But seriously, does uh, anyone know the way out?!
