The Perfect Murderball - Chad Aggro: Buckshot Berserkers + Smartgunners

Post by Surrealistik » 08 Sep 2018, 19:20

First, you need a whole bunch of these guys:

viewtopic.php?f=135&t=17707

All of them need to be willing to die and sacrifice themselves for the greater good. All of them should have grenades and loaded UGLs on their backs so they can suicide bomb and stunlock clusterfucks of xenos if necessary (most effective is double priming, then stuffing the grenades back into suit storage before running at the enemy).

Second, you need someone to give Move orders to get your zerkers into a killing frenzy and make them fast enough to catch up to and PB/suicide bomb xenos. SO+ is preferable but an SL can work.

Third, they need to be backed by at least two smartgunners, preferably all of them, so they have constant DPS that can fire through the berserker meat shield. Bonus points if you've got a sniper.

With this you should win most engagements.

This is degenerate as fuck.

I like it and will gladly participate in murderballing.

You forgot the part where the must be competent.

How can you not envision those zerg rushes just PBing each other instead of doing the raw killing of xeno scum? if they die before getting to then, is of no use!

PBing each other is much harder than standard FF, so it's actually _more_ idiot proof than the usual approaches.

Honestly at that point you might as well just have every marine fire grenades wildly at every hostile, just carpet bomb the battlefield in grenades to scare the benos.

I'm not sure you're quite grasping the discretionary element of suicide bombing/grenading.

You prime a grenade in your hand until it's about to explode, then throw it at a beno before firing a grenade from the USG. First grenade explodes before beno knows what's going on, it recovers in time for the second to go off. Rinse and repeat.

I mean wouldn't call that 'wildly'.

You can do grenade cooking, but with the random timers, lag, and so on, especially with mid combat chaos, it's honestly more reliable to just suicide with two nades in your suit as you run up and try to shotgun as many xenus as possible. One of the major advantages is that they can't see it coming at all, whereas even with a cooked grenade they've typically got a second or so.
