Use both pulse rifle and shotgun, who knows it might come in handy.
Ignore him, keep the satchel and bring flare packs. You two guns won't do shit if you get pounced and dragged off into the dark. Flare everything; light the place up.
Usually playing as Darwin 'D.J.' Jefferson, PFC (Private: Flare Carrier), or Smartgunner almost always out of ammo. Occasionally an RO who yearns for death, dealing with rampant jackassery of his coworkers.
Against my better judgement I decided to start making Youtube videos involving Colonial Marines. Channel

Ignore him, ditch the satchel and bring a machete. Flares won't do shit if the caves you're pushing through are full of sticky resin, and get pounced and dragged off while lighting a flare. Machetes are cool; clear all the resin.

Haha, Yes if you could please make a great one
Anyways to end that ignore trend, do bring flares we need them to prevent flanks and ambushes, machete is great for clearing weeds, although don't bring flares as a SL instead use that rank of yours and make a loyal pfc become a flare guy
Motion detector or machete on belt large mag pouch and general pouch for SL'ing

Stick with your squad. If not, stick with another marine, at all times, until you reach your squad. No matter how 'robust' you think you are, a single xeno can and will end it all for you.
I play as Michael 'Fritz' Fitzgerald. You've never heard of him and probably never will, as I'm usually only on during lowpop hours.

Killing a xeno as a marine take chase, aiming, throwing a large amount if DPS and managing inventory properly.

Killing/Incapaciting for 30 to 75 mins a marine takes a single ponctual move.

Anyone can kill anyone as a xeno.

Be a smartgunner.
Find a cart wagon.
Ride a cart wagon.
You now can't be pounced, or neurospitted. Sticky resin also didn't slow you down.
Devs don't need to make humvees, or APC's. Just add cart wagons to Smartguner Prep.

Read the guides already on the forum.
Or just read guides that are highlighted on the wiki, and the wiki itself.

Already said, already repeated.

People going on the forums represent way less than half the community. Everything is already on the forums or wiki.

Always get stuff from req, make sure you know what you are going to get before it's your turn though.

Maybe if the wiki or forum had complete guides. Ill write my own pyro spec guide after I've played a bit more. Also a noob question but where are the mini fire extinguishers located?

Requisitions actually has a pocket extinguisher in a Fire tool box (the red one in the back room). And you can find them rarely planetside as well
Noxus Poppy is bae.

In game character name:Alice 'Snow' Falkner. Lar'ja H'chak

I may do stupid shit sometimes, but were marines its what we do. Always saving, rarely saved. Piss lead and blow shit up until you die. Rinse and repeat.

You want a piece of advice? Here is one.

Know when to toggle burstfire on and off.

Burstfire allows you to fire a flurry of bullets in a single direction, but once you pull the trigger, you can't fire again until your burst finishes... And if you have bad aim, you'll just waste more ammo than you need to.

Singlefire, on the other hand, fires just the one bullet, but allows you to more easily "lead" moving targets, as well as conserve more ammo.

Burstfire works best in tight spaces like hallways, while singlefire is best in more open areas. Know when to toggle, it could mean the difference between dishing out pain and wasting ammo.
Sometimes, bravery comes from the most unlikely sources.

As a baldie I have a baldies point of vieuw and recognize my fellow baldies.

- Close cades! When I'm dead in hydro and I see its not due to a breach but someone ran and left cade open! (Sometimes its better to stay in and fight it'll take xeno longer meaning a DS can land with reinforcements)
- Dont be engineer if you don't do shit except waste everything on claymores (explosions are bad for cades and marines)
- Do use help intent when your just trying to cross paths in a narrow hall! (Help kills but no help delays too)
- Don't get nades.... ever (again explosions bad!)
- Get a gas mask!
- See boiler smoke hit quickly eye glance if everyone left it and SHOOT in it all your clips make em empty!
- Clean up the FOB material floor! A line for ammo's a line for medical or something toss out shit and empty containers.
- Don't push engineers or medics if you can. But medics dont do triage BEHIND the main cade at the front when there is a secure area!
- Use flares, and dont destroy lights (Xeno screen is equally big but they can see our moveing lights if they use their darkvision so they can see BYOND their screen if we are there due to lights. Fixed lights from the facility's and flares put them on alert but uncertain untill they see you and you see them!)

The winner:
- For the love of GOD keep the pain and first aid auto injectors, go to the DS and drag the sprite into the dispencer and voila NEW one!
Extra points if you have 2 sets of them in your first aid and use them on others if they are out (put bandage and ointment in armor in my case)

Personal weapon flavor:
Shotguns do damage vs all castes (and allot less FF), M41 needs AP but hard to get, M39 if you got a engineer hacking and giving you spare AP if not fuck it, dont underestimate pistols especially with hacked vendors granting more AP.
Rail flashlights

Some of the most robust marines do the exact opposite
And even I often roll engineer just to get AP mags & engineering skills

- Do use help intent when your just trying to cross paths in a narrow hall! (Help kills but no help delays too)

Get a rest macro, use 2, 3 and 4 to change your intent

- Don't get nades.... ever (again explosions bad!)

Don't be dumb, use the UGL and avoid CQC

- Get a gas mask!

Wasted space

- See boiler smoke hit quickly eye glance if everyone left it and SHOOT in it all your clips make em empty!

Wasted ammo.

- Don't push engineers or medics if you can. But medics dont do triage BEHIND the main cade at the front when there is a secure area!

Roller beds - please use them.
People die way too often because medics don't drag them away.

Extra points if you have 2 sets of them in your first aid and - use them on others if they are out (put bandage and ointment in armor in my case)

2 First aid Pouches,
3x Tricord 3x PKs
One Ointment, one Bandage

Everything that isn't a M41 or a M37 is wasted potential.
