For those baldies/random tips

Post by David Stormwell » 11 Sep 2018, 09:13

Info notice 1: For God's sake stop going by yourself into a pack of xenos.

Info notice 2: Always keep in mind during Evac time as a SL that you can be a APO/alternate Pilot, I once saved a OP by doing this.

Info notice 3: Bring flares we need them.

Info notice 4: As a main SL don't get yourself trouble with the law, I know Deltards love pushing MPs but we need all the men we can get.

Info notice 5: If you are a medic and see a medic treating someone DO NOT give them ANY pills. You can use splints and shit, just DO NOT double treat pills. Expect if you know what the other medic is doing.

Info notice 6: Drag a Ladder on you Character to look down and click on it with a flare to throw it down same with nades, Something I missed in Marine guide.

Info Notice 7: Don't throw nades over Cades

Read Guides

Thats all I can think of now good luck and have fun.
In progress.

^ the only time to use pills with other medics also treating is when you're crystal clear with them on who's doing what. That is not your first medic round. Not your fifth one either.

Never do what command tells you to do and always follow what command says.

I don't know why, but white a lot of new players tend to try and throw grenades from behind a line of marines.

Don't do that. It won't work.

All of these effort won't do anything, as there're still many many people that don't have a forum account yet. Heck, even some of our forum accounts were made only to apply for a whitelist or to appeal a ban.

Bring as many flares as you can. If you have a satchel with extra space, fill it with flare boxes. If every standard marine brought a flare pouch and two boxes, we could light up the fights a dozen times over.

Especially with the recent suit light changes, flares are (as always) super robust.

Attachments are overrated. The standard rail flashlight - bayonet combo's more than enough.
As ironic as it may seem, the rail light is actually the best attachment in the game.

Try not to run around on help intent, especially on the battlefield. It's a top-tier way to cause traffic jams, trap people in Boiler clouds, and doom marines to Charger runs.

That's in the vanguard guide. All of it.
No offenses but being here since few months is good and all, but you should yourself check both guides too.

After about 200 medic rounds there are like 2-3 people I would trust with pilling my patient.

The only time you should be giving pills to someone else's patient is when you have formed a secure mental connection and can anticipate their actions.
anyone else just let patients with IB sit for a while out of QC OD paranoia?

You can shift click to examine your magazines when they're in your gear, so if you're keeping AP mags to refill later, you can quickly tell which mags are full, and which ones only have like 12 rounds.
Usually playing as Darwin 'D.J.' Jefferson, PFC (Private: Flare Carrier), or Smartgunner almost always out of ammo. Occasionally an RO who yearns for death, dealing with rampant jackassery of his coworkers.
Against my better judgement I decided to start making Youtube videos involving Colonial Marines. Channel

Oh. Also. You can cock an incendiary round in your rifle chamber then remove the mag to a regular one to set your target ablaze without wasting lottaammo.

1) Save AP mags, even if they're empty. Good RO's will help you refill them.

2) Whenever someone's hit by neurospit, immediately shake them up, they'll be as good as new!

3) People got sprayed by Boilers or Praes? Drag them off the acid THEN shake them up.

4) Queen's coming? Run away, let her screech, then run in and PB her ass 2 times. Don't forget to *clap.

5) If you have a SO, keep contact with them, tell them the enemy's positions. You'll make the SO's and XO/CO extremely happy and help the ops as a whole.

6) Always have a backup shottie with a MagHar, loaded with buckshot. If you're captured and not in paincrit, you can wreck the whole hive alone.

You can shove protein bars in your helmet for later.

You can also put goggles/cigarette packs/playing cards in your helmet for style points and throwing knives for emergencies.

Consider putting a spare knife or two in your armor or on your mask slot in case your boot knife gets dropped or your boots come off from leg delimb/get stolen by another marine.
