Kill all the queens and the drones, and ensure that the hive doesn't have the supply for those anymore and let them die on queen timer. Also, a lurker isn't really that fast without Frenzy.

Runner - Just PB buckshot him, literally that simple.
Lurker - If the lurker has more has more than 5 iq, it'll just stay out of range, land a pounce and kill you before you even get up. It might even tackle, so in this scenario -- doj and buckshot, or if you're a pulsey boi, use AP while running away towards the nearest marine you can trust.

Ancient runner is pretty easy to kill, really. Just shoot It or pointblank It.
Ancient lurkers survive a PB, and can be a living demon If they are smart. Usually, the best way to kill them is trapping It in a corner, surrounding It, then rape It with AP and grenades.
Grenadier Spec plays a important role Here, If they survive long enough, that is. Just stunlock It to death.

bit of a niche solution and more for lurkers than runners, but I've had good luck as a smartgunner with an M39 + AP-- the night vision and fast move speed can pretty much let you bully xenos, so long as you're decent at dodging skillshots. You're still not much of a match if they decide to run away, but what lurker is going to run from a lone unga with an M39? Extra effective on narrow maps with a lot of unopened doors/dead ends, such as prison station.
That being said, it's pretty high risk and the marines are down an SG if you fuck up, so there is that. And this doesn't really have application to the average PFC either.

its easy enough to PB a runner, they're barely a threat as is
lurkers are a threat 1v1 and this much is guaranteed, they're probably the only caste you'll have trouble 1v1ing if you're good at keeping your distance and capitalizing on cooldowns

Big cheese strategy, get a hunting trap from the northeast temple at LV or kill a pred.
Then you just run around with that activated in your hand, when the runner/lurker pounces you they get snared and you just get up and PB the hoe.

Help intent shake up marines, and squads of 3 people.
Turns a 6 second long knock out into a 1 second. Now instead of 2v1, you can do 3v1 and fuck that lurker up.
Lights/ flares are another good way to stop pouncers. Not just where the enemy likes to attack at, but perferably 3-4 screens around where they want to attack at. If lurkers/ runners cant use darkness to get away from angry marines, they will get fucked up ( no time to heal/Recharge plasma) . a dead mature alien is worth more than 1-2 dead marines by such a large margin its not even funny.
