#JUST-ENGINEERING-THINGS

Post by Russell-454 » 22 Jul 2016, 13:22

Alright, so just played a round as chief engineer, and things were running smoothly. SM was running with no destabilisation, Atmos was set up and looking good, and I had spent a large amount of the round building a mini-EVA area inside of command, so they could go into space for whatever reason. *ALARMS SOUND*. Oh right, Hostiles are possibly coming to the ship, let me abandon my construction and head to engineering, maybe set up an emitter to cover a ladder - keep it secure. For the next five minutes I was setting up barricades, wiring the emitter to cover the ladder, all good stuff. I then hear screams across the ship. "THEY ARE Here!" or "WE HAVE BEEN BORDED", you know the drill. I turn the emitter on and look at my handywork, no way those ayyliens are getting through without losses. Then some chucklefuck marine comes, and wants to look down the ladder as he believes thats a good idea. He then stands infront of the emitter, realises his mistake and then pulls me in front of it to get to safety....I try to move out of the way, and he pushes me back in the line of fire. You think that it? Oh no...this fucker had to turn the emitter off before dying, so that the Ayyliens could rush engineering, and fuck up the Sulaco.

TL;DR Fucking baldie marine runs in front of the only emitter covering engineering, pulls me in front and then manages to disable the emitter before we both die.

10/10.
This is how I got the nickname Sophie 'Supermatter' Rifler

The emitter was most likely encroaching on that marines territory. so when he tried to fight it in hand to hand combat and pulled you in front of it, it was clearly good strategy. 100% justifiable in my opinion
