Predator and Hellhounds

Had a game where an admin spawned in a hellhound for me and another predator. Some great fun and RP. The other named his Clyde and I named mine Raging Fire. I propose predators should be able to spawn in a hellhound through the use of a verb and a ghost may take it. Hellhounds have little HP and their movement speed is lower then predator though which was brought up by my dead hellhound companion in deadchat. Thoughts?

A single use verb might be a good idea for the hellhound... But I don't think every pred should have one, 4 hellhounds might tilt balance too much. Hmmm...

Honestly, I don't like Hellhounds that much.

Due to the fact that they cannot cloak, it is more a handicap than an upgrade. That is, unless you order the hound to stand guard somewhere (like at the lodge). But if you do that, it wouldn't be fair to the other player, forced to sit around and wait for something to come by to bite.

If a Hellhound is thrust upon me, I'll care for it, but if I had the option, I'd rather not, if only to keep it from holding me back.

That's why it should be a verb, if you don't want one don't spawn one in. Maybe it should take an equipment slot, but then you may be stuck with a bald hound and well... Waste an equipment slot

Having a hound every pred-round could get stale fast, keep the hounds as the only event we have imo

Fun fact, there is actually a hellhound spawner beacon, if any of you have read the doors on the east side of the Predator Ship, there is a quarters labeled something like "Kennels" and Houndmaster's room.

Hounds don't fit into our current system, usually only being used in events (rare) or Hunger Games, but I left that area of the ship for if a time came where hellhounds were worked into the gameplay and some special hound "cage" sprites or something could be put in there. Something like the cages from Predator 3. I thought how it might work would be an actual Houndmaster role and having pred players who don't get into preds having the option to play a hound, obviously being held to the same High-RP standards that you are supposed to see with predators.

Just a little tidbit that I thought I'd share.

Personally with Bobby on this one, hellhounds add a bit of flair to the average pred round you'll rarely see, and getting that every round is only going to ruin the magic. That's not even taking into consideration the fact there's no actual rules for handling what you do with hellhounds as far as I know.

The focus of Bad Blood rounds turning into more RP based with hellhounds would be great.

Disable the sleep mechanic, keep rules on hunting for Preds (no cloak killing, etc), and give the Marines a chance to kill nasties. Or it would suck and be stale. Not sure.
