Synthetic Council Voting

Only players with a synth whitelist may vote here.
If you do not have a synth whitelist and vote here and fail to inform me of your mistake, you will lose all whitelists. Voting will lock 5 days from posting this! (Sept 24th)

This is the first official election for the Synthetic Council. Rules are simple and as follow:

Only players with synth whitelist should be voting here.
You have three votes to distribute amongst three synth players.
You need to distribute all three votes.
Don't vote for yourself

If you can't follow those rules, your votes will be made invalid.

You can change your votes as many times as you like and revoting will wipe your old votes, so you don't need to worry about changing votes. Selecting 2 or 1 vote will only apply that many, so make sure to select all 3.

Jakkkk has been assisting me in setting this up and is dedicated to helping Synth grow. While I'm sure he'd get voted up normally, I've promised him a seat in the council so he will be part of the founding Synth Council by default. He will still need to be voted into the council again during future votes. The top three voted players will be given a seat in the Synth Council. I, Emerald Blood, won't partake in the vote. As a fair warning, head staff do hold the ability to deny anyone permission to join the council, however, we don't plan on denying anyone on this list as we believe anyone voted up should be given a chance at the very least. The Synth council will work a lot like the Pred council so you should have a good idea what this is going to be like.

Jakkk (Mortimer) Is head of the council, he was appointed before the other member's election.

I think just to clarify why I'm running synth council, since we never got a thread ala predators:

1: Speed up the process of the whitelists getting accepted. As someone who actively uses the forums, I'd be able to give verdicts on new apps quickly and effectively.

2: Ensure that the synthetic guidelines gets a rewrite, or at least a look at. As it stands, I'm sure we all agree that it is piss poor.

3: Ensure that the council does not get any in game benefits. Why, might you ask? This encourages people to apply and do nothing, gaining benefits with no work. This would cause stagnancy with the applications akin to what it is right now.

4: Give a basis for punishments for synths that break guidelines, as right now we don't have much in the way of that. In order to uphold the nature of the role, we need to have good synthetic players. Having stains makes us all look bad.

And optionally,

5: Ala the Predator whitelist, remove extremely inactive members of the community from the whitelist. While it isn't required to play synth every day, synths who have been inactive in the game/forums/discord for a set amount of time, should have their whitelist suspended or revoked for a certain time. Reapplying would be easy, as long as they remain active.

If those reasons don't convince you completely, I'll toss reasons why I'd be a good match for the council:

1: I am a relatively well known synthetic in the time span I've had Goldman.

2: As a member of staff, I'd have a direct link to voice any concerns to anyone on staff.

3: I've been apart of this community for quite a while, and quite well known at that.

4: I am able to remain impartial, even when dealing with those that may be my friends. If you look at past applications made by people who are my friends, I did not give them an easy pass or ignore flaws of their posts.

With that out of the way, I'd like to wish the best of luck with all those running. Here's to an efficient council, capable of suiting the needs of us Synthetic players.
