What is your Synth loadout?
Since Synths are jack of all trades, what do you have on you to be prepared for anything as a Synth?

Re: What is your Synth loadout?
If I ever GO synth, just... standard issue.
I feel it is weird to see synths running around with lifesaver bags, webbings and all that other stuff. Just feels kinda weird and out of place...
Synths are supposed to be flexible, but at the same time, I don't think they need to be kitted out for every possible situation right off the bat.

Re: What is your Synth loadout?
I am the complete opposite of Reno, I think I should be able to deal with nearly every situation if it pops up, If I have a medic bag and someone needs me to fix a door from them, it's too much hassle to go ditch my medic belt, get an engineering one, then run back and fix the situation. Keep your tools in your webbing, and if I don't have any webbing, a satchel does the trick.

Re: What is your Synth loadout?
After playing a few rounds, this is the loadout I seem to default to for shipside-synth:
- Firefighter's Helmet for the light
- Medic HUD as default, welding goggles in the bag
- Sterile mask for surgery
- Brown webbing, with medic scanner, Bicard, Kelo, Trama and Tricord - essential healing gear basically
- Hazard vest for visibility
- Insulated gloves
- Boots and a survival knife in case I need to cut someone real bad
- Engi belt with all the items
- Satched with a stun prod (to subdue people), defibrilator, roller bed, light replacer, welding goggles and space cleaner
This still leaves 2 slots in the vest and 4 in the pouches for whatever else is needed, and I can tackle most problems I'd encounter on the ship. Add to it a power cell, an APC board, an APC frame and some other meds and you can tackle pretty much anything on the spot.

Re: What is your Synth loadout?
- Satchel full of the toolbelt tools + a health analyzer. Swap the Welding Tool for an Industrial Welding Tool, from the Welder Closet.
- Construction Pouch with Metal and Plasteel (if I get deployed) + Medical Pouch with spare Bicaridine, Kelotane and Tramadol.
- Medical Belt with a Defib. Don't use the Lifesaver, it gives you just some extra autoinjectors and some space, but you can save much more space by using the MedBelt + Defib
- Winter Coat if it's Ice, Hazard Vest otherwise, with 1 stretcher and 1 stasis bag inside. Flashlight on exosuit slot.
- Welding Helmet on the head.
- Latex Gloves (after finding the door wires, with the CE's permission)
- Sterile Mask.
- MedHUD on the eyes.
- Combat Boots, Support Uniform with a Brown Webbing Vest kitted with 3 PCM's and 2 power cells.
That's Cassie's loadout. Quite effective when deploying, because it allows you to do both Engineering and Medical/Field Surgery jobs. It's also extremely effective during Almayer Boardings, because you can easily repair TComms, provide emergency repairs and medical attention to marines and barricades, and you can swap the Multitool for the TeleBaton for robustness.

You don't need eye protection to weld as a synth fyi.Lil Mayo wrote: ↑16 Oct 2018, 04:09- Satchel full of the toolbelt tools + a health analyzer. Swap the Welding Tool for an Industrial Welding Tool, from the Welder Closet.

Re: What is your Synth loadout?
Gen2 suit, boots, brown webbing with tools in it, lifesaver belt, welderpack, two large general pouches. I take welding goggles with me for whoever is fixing me, and grab a motion tracker, 50 metal, and 20 plasteel from my vendor.
I keep a hard hat on me, but don't wear it 'till i need light.
I usually grab a health analyser and defib from medbay too, and an industrial welder from engineering (permission from CE allowing).
I don't bring wirecutters or a muti-tool usually, since i rarely have to hack anything, and i'm not even allowed to hack vendors anyway, they're easy enough to find if you need them in a pinch, toolboxes are never far away, especially with how fast a synth is.
If i get more time i'll put together a sedation kit (blue syringe case with one syringe, one 60u bottle of oxycodone, and a 60u bottle of soporific) and some advanced meds to bulk out the lifesaver.
If i'm going groundside i'll swap my researcher coat for a bulletproof vest from medbay armoury (with CMO's permission).
