Weapon Change Ideas

So, me, ParadoxSpace, and Toroic, were brainstorming on the Discord channel, and we came up with special attacks that the weapons could have. Discuss, post ideas, and we'll perfect it!

Glaive: Reach, passive ability, the Glaive can hit from two tiles away.

Sword: Thrust, essentially a Ravager charge to where you're facing.

Scythe: Whirlwind, standard AOE attack, hitting all tiles around the Predator.

Whip: Lash, sends a short ranged projectile in the direction you're facing (The whip) that does regular damage and has different effects depending on where you aim. Arm: Disarm, if you have an empty offhand, you steal the item. Leg, stun. Chest, pulls them to you.

Combistick: Deflect (Temporary name), guaranteed deflection of any attacks from the front, including pounces.

Scimitars/Wristblades: (Requires one in each hand) Quick Strike, hits an enemy within melee range with two/four Scimitar/Wristblade attacks.



Side idea: Give the Scythe the ability to cripple the movement and possibly abilities like Pounce and Charge, so it's not as underpowered against Xenos.

Going with +1, them weapon change ideas I gotta admit are pretty good. Though I'd add making it sorta for the whip, like you can make a lashing sound as well, like how xenos can lash their tail having a sound once they do forth. Perhaps of they implement the whip, make a verb similar to the xenos making it you can coil the whip and lash it. As well as the glaive idea, I find it hitting two tile range quite the right distance for the glaive

While I do think the idea of predators having special attacks is neat (and indeed the ones listed above are cool), I think that maybe it might be a bit much for them to have, considering their current role in the meta and the not-uncommon flux of balance as things are changed around.

I'm afraid I'd have to give this a neutral +0 vote, though I'd be happy to join in on any brainstorming, if only for 'wishlisting'.

As far as I know there hasn't been a great deal of balancing done so far, and I'd rather the weapons be weaker and have more cool abilities over remaining the same.

Some of the coding shouldn't be too bad, others might be a little tricky.
