The primary reason is that I'm pretty good at making sure I get what my men need, as an SO, as a PO, or any other role that I take. If I don't know OOC how to do something, I always figure it out on my own because I know my incompetence will devalue everyone else's experience. On that point, I'm not one to powergame. I'm not one to abuse a meta. I will send men out on LZ2 drops, or deny attachments, or something that breaks the flow of a standard match, knowing that Marines might or will probably lose, but hell at least we go out with a bang. Thats my OOC defense, although nobody cares about that because I can say whatever I want but at the end of the day, its all for you guys to decide.
Now, onto my IC explanation. I want to go with something unique, something I don't see COs do. For that, I've come to the conclusion of a groundside CO. I'll go on the ground with the Marines on the first drop and personally advise my command staff based on what I see on the ground. I will NOT go out and fight with the Marines, my job is to dictate that work, but I feel me being groundside will provide a morale boost to my men. I would adivse LZ FOB construction and make sure my men's supplies actually get to where they're needed. If not, I'll go back to the ship and handle it. This means that this would put pressure on my XO and SOs since I'm not there to personally communicate with them, but I feel that would make their roles more exciting. If I die on the ground, even better! More chaos = more F U N.
I know that I've only been around for a month and that me being on the ground might be a liability for you guys' fun. I know that if we have a skeleton crew for a command staff, we're fucked. Which is why I'd do my groundside schtick during high-pop and mid-pop times. During low-pop, I'd try to keep more to a traditional CO, or maybe I'll go groundside occasionally. Depends on how I feel.
tldr; I'm flexible, unpredictable and looking to make a name for myself in the community
Not Carson levels of memery though
