What is your view on the ability for COs not being able to BE the Military Police?

I think that part of the rule makes sense both for gameplay and lore reasons. Gameplay wise it makes sense since MPs are required to uphold marine law in the rules. Since MPs may not break the law it makes sense that the CO would not be allowed to execute them. Lore wise the MPs would not be under the COs command so they would not have the right to execute them.
