I'm just going to reiterate my -1 because of the LRP memery. There was that thread made about his behaviour in the USCM thread and now this thread, and he really hasn't gotten any better from what I can tell. When he's in command he still gives orders that are hard to understand, and when he's not in command he does stupid shit.

I didn't make that anouncement the XO did after the round had ended. It was a poem I wrote while I was on the DS as PO. I made that thread myself because an admin asked me to and people told me to tone down my accent so that's what I did. I made that thread because I wanted to know what people thought about me and the majority said my character was fine as long as I toned down my accent, which I did do.

Thanks! I try to be conscious of how I talk when I XO and I'll certainly dial it down even more when I play CO

I mean I used to stay stuff like "I shall instruct my menaru to HOLDA THE YARDARU!" and such, but now I'd say "I willa tell my menu to hold the yard" or some such. I don't really believe adding a u or an a to a couple of words in a sentence really makes it that hard to understand, but I'm biased because I'm the one who writes it. Anyway I understand people have been having trouble understanding me, to fix this I think CO Katashi will sound more like "Holda the yard men, not one step backwards!" or something with a minimal amount of accent but just enough to remind you it's there.

It was said earlier in the thread that you either love the gimmick or you hate it. And I for one hate it. I think it is very LRP and I that our whitelisted roles should be held to higher standards. I mean you even WRITE in the "accent."

My opinion the higher your rank the less you should focus on the accent gimmick. I think it’s still ok for you to say the basic Japanese phrases like hai, arigato, banzai, and Also I don’t mind you referring to a player as Name-San.

For example PFC Jiro no one will care if you use the heavy accent

But Commander Jiro needs to use it sparingly and for easy to understand words.

Seeing this and knowing you, I just had to come by and leave my opinion on this matter.

I have nothing against you becoming a commander, and would gladly welcome some fresh faces to the table, but if you ever DO get whitelisted, you are going to have to rework your gimmick... HARD. You can't just keep running around sounding like a caricature of Japanese culture, doing memey things (like that one time as CL you attempted to rally the survivors to start a mutiny with you over something as stupid as not getting to do a COMMERCIAL for a fictional gameboy knockoff), and generally just being an oddball that people only really talk about because of the horribly tacky accent. It reminds me of many other players who attempted "accents" but only really ended up getting on everyone's nerves instead or being mocked for tacky RP.

There is a good way to do an accent, and a bad way, and you are infamous for the WORSE accent I have ever seen in all my time on CM13. If you EVER become commander, you gotta tone it down for REAL. We don't need more meme commanders, nor do I want more "5th smartgunners". I want a commander who performs his role to a respectable level and takes pride in said role, wanting to make rounds a tad more interesting and engaging, rather than just resorting to rubbish gimmicks.

Whatever the case, I wish you luck, and should you get accepted... I'll be watching.

For real +1, I'd like to give Juro a chance to see how much he's improved with moderating his accent. But if he's too indecipherable, expect some problems, my dude.

As previously stated, he's been brought up numerous times regarding the accent, and hasn't done anything about it. It's LRP memery, and not fit for what should be a HRP role with high standards, which should be held as a role model for other players.

To be honest you are a great player in game but the problem is your accent. I guess saying Arigato, Konnichiwa or Banzai is fine but as appealing this commander whitelist I guess you need a better roleplay style, the staffs already told you to lower your accent or make it more understable but still you didn't manage to learn it. So for now, I am giving you +1 to neutral or going for -1 soon if you won't change your accent a little bit. You are great player, remember that.

I'm changing back to +1 because he's been leading in the past few days, but obviously I believe the condition should be if he is the XO/CO he should limit the accent gimmick to very rarely used. I don't care if he uses "menu" or basic japanese phrases everyone should know (I expect to hear a lot of "bakas" to the people being idiots)

Here is the gist of this situation:

Snow7 is a fantastic RPer. He puts genuine effort and energy into his roles and he definitely knows how to gain popular traction through gimmicks and silly antics. Since his RP ability is high, he can fulfill the IC responsibilities of CO.

However, as much as I do enjoy Snow7's antics and gimmick, I cannot confidently say that he can fulfill the basic OOC requirements of CO AS KATASHI JURO. The gimmick is simply too distracting and players will not take you seriously.

Here is what I would recommended: You are obviously a good RPer, so make another character that has a gimmick that suits the role of CO. If COs like Bill Carson can establish themselves without a vocal gimmick then you can too!


I +1 Snow7 for CO, but I give a -1 for Katashi.

This is coming from someone that really enjoys your antics.

So I’m gonna try both things, Katashi without the accent and a new character. I’m gonna be pretty busy this week but I should be on every other day or so if you want to witness my experimentation. I agree that Katashi in his current state is just not CO material. Thanks so much for all your comments fellas I hope to bring closure to this soon.

+1, Just played an all around amazing round with you as XO and me as CO. Your gimmick seemed very under control, and it didn't seem lrp in the slightest during the round. I am willing to say that I would approve of you being a Commander +!
