Yes, I did. Being able to fluently speak English is one of my personal requirements to play this high ranking command role. As I said prior, I don't care if your Sun Tzu - that hardly matters when most people will struggle to understand you. Based on that prerequisite alone, I decided that I did not need to see how you played in-game.

I think a lot of you guys are being a bit unfair here. His English may not be perfect, but it's obvious the willpower and effort he's putting in trying to get a place on the list. English is also not my primary language and it was Space Station that helped me improve it, but I still make mistakes, because I'm still learning. I do not think this is something so bad as to prevent someone from playing.

Personally I think the only thing that should matter is the guy's ability to get the Humans to victory. (I have not seen many CO's / BO's lately and we all know the difference a good command makes to the Marines). And only through his effort we can realize that even though he is not a great commander now, one day he will be. That simple.

Your performance as XO has been bad. But it hasn't been a steady bad, and it's mostly due to language, and while you aren't good yet, I believe you will be.
So I'm changing my vote to for you, which should put you over the 60% needed to be approved!

But that doesn't matter in this case.

You see, one of the rules that's been being enforced with these appeals is to have a poll set to expire in... I believe 7 days? from day of application. That was January 9th. It is now January 15th. The poll is set to expire February 3rd. 25 days instead of 7.

Care to explain why you picked that specific number instead of 7? If you fix it VERY quickly, you might have a chance, but if you can't, use this as a learning experience, keep improving, and re-apply.

We are not preventing him from playing the game. We are preventing him from being placed in a vital position within the game, without the language skills to effectively play it. Take this sentence, taken directly from his application, as an example:

"But I always communicate and keep my fellow marine head up and used motivation!"

It's a broken string of text. It's semi-understandable, but it's still hard to read at a glance. Imagine what would take place if he were in a stressful situation. His English would become more broken, and I'd expect something along the lines of, "Charlie, move up riverbank leave". No doubt, in the future, he will be a great commander. However, they don't promote Lieutenants in the military on their potential - they have to prove their merit first. Unfortunately, the first step in that process is being fluent in English.

The thread regarding creating a commander application states that if you do not follow the format, which includes setting the time correctly, it will be denied.

I see you most times I play, and in my opinion your not a bad standard or even spec but any time you are in a position of power you let it go a little to your head and get a little too immersed, sometimes you have to step back and remember it's a game and that standard you just screamed at over gen comms and ordered arrest for just speaking doesn't need his game ruined for voicing an opinion.

TL;DR SL and spec yes, CO not quite yet.
