Mr Adams - take a bunch of this advice, some of it with a grain of salt. Players can tend to be very picky when it comes to a CO, solely because they can greatly control the fate/direction of 70% of the players at any given round. These aren't personal attacks at you, most players just want to avoid a nightmare round.

You're likely going to miss this vote, but take the next 30 days to play SO/XO as much as you can and become more well known!
