Malcolm 'Gunner' Xol - CO application

Player name you use the most: Malcolm 'Gunner' Xol

Make a list of links to all of your applications and (job)ban appeals, including whitelist and staff apps, within the last year. Also, provide "Ban reason; Verdict" beside each (job)ban link: Do you understand that any player - even donors or staff members - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our Server Rules or Roleplay Guidelines?
In the eyes of the law, all are equal That means Yes

Do you understand how the Battlefield Execution functions?
Yes, while having the power to Execute a person without warning, this is also a roleplay server, and subsecuent it should only be used in extreme situations. This can include muteny leaders, though only in case the standard procedure of execution is unavaible, and/or if time is of an essence. Again, Roleplaying is of an essence.

Do you understand you are not above Marine law, or allowed to enforce it yourself?
In the eyes of the law, all are equal That means Yes
And yes, thats taking away MPs job.

What do you think is the job of a Commander?
While its 'easy' to act as the aCO, there is an added weight to the CO. You are a direct representative of quality leadership by the USCM. It is his job to offer a flavour of experienced leadership, and a hand that wields the sword that is the marines. And while it is excuseable of an aCO to provide bad leadership, a CO is always accountable. Without going on for too long, you represent the USCM, you guide, lead, and most importantly, never doubt your own ability (outwards). A commander is THE perfect soldier and leader, but also a Paternal/Maternal figure, that recognises the accomplishments of his/her marines.

If a member of your staff is disobeying orders, how would you handle it?
Depending on severity i would handle it differently. If a SO/MP/Civilian goes planetside, they will be reprimanded, the propper authorities contacted (USCM High Command for USCM staff, WY for civilian contractors) and jailed for the apropriate amount of time (10-25 minutes) and again, depending of rank, how fast they returned, etc. a demotion would be in place.

Why should you be whitelisted?
I value good roleplay, between command staff, civilians and survivors alike. I have had several occations where i believe i atributed to a fun experience for other players, when nothing was happening on the ship, due to being good at making up background on the spot. I play a lot on lowpopulation server time, and often take a leading role when one is needed (e.g. Two bridge staff, and one PO) I consider my leading skills adequate, though at times my language faulters. Im not afraid to admit I was wrong.
Overall i consider myself a decent aCO, and a good roleplayer.

No one has said anything about this application so I'm gonna guess most people don't know who you are.

I've seen your character name a few times, but mostly in the spam-ridden radio.

Your application was mostly meh to me, but I can look aside from that if I see you have some decent/good rounds as XO.

I'll ask the question though. How do you intend on playing your CO?
Commander Councilman. Along with Takethehot56, Bancrose, Dr.Lance, and Frans_Feiffer. PM me or any of them for inquiries about Commander.

First off, thanks for replying. Waiting is literally the worst part of applications

As for how i plan to play the CO, let me be the first to say, I am not gonna mataeba the first insubordinate marine.
Jokes aside, I plan on playing during Lowpop, which means more roleplay with the fever marines. For an example, ill ask a marine to take photos and recon classified areas of WY colonies, generally disliking their practises (I know, very original) and lean towards my soldiers safety more than that of the colony. To me the important thing is for the soldiers to look up to the CO, for them to feel their life isnt being wasted, and give everyone a feeling of being important.
During a mission i will try to coordinate pincer manouvers rather than frontline pushes so common right now.
I think what i said about how a CO is speaks for itself on how i want to be remembered as a CO. A paternal figure with experience, and gravitas and good leadership. Xol is my name and flavour is my game.

Alright, I'm gonna go into detail here.

I have not really seen you around.
You seem pretty happy-go-lucky.
You seem like a original CDR.

Tell me, what would your briefing look like?

Going neutral leaning towards negative for now.
I play as Monday "Scatter" Williams, he is the guy that takes no one seriously, except his good friend, his work.

So, I've never really seen you in a command role yet, but I've played with you when you're a normal marine. You're overall a solid RPer and a pretty good lad. I'll cast my vote as neutral with a positive lean until I see you in the bridge more.
