Player name you use the most: Henry Truman

Make a list of links to all of your applications and (job)ban appeals, including whitelist and staff apps, within the last year. Also, provide "Ban reason; Verdict" beside each (job)ban link:
I have not had any bans, applications, or appeals this year. I made this account a while back planning to apply to be a moderator but I was not old enough at the time, so I never applied

Do you understand that any player - even donors or staff members - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our Server Rules or Roleplay Guidelines?
The whitelist is a privilege, and in order to prevent an abuse of that privilege, it is essential for someone to be able to revoke that privilege. I understand that if I act incompetently in character as well as out of character that my privilege of being on the commander whitelist can be revoked, and if I am acting out of line it is in best interest to revoke my privileges.

Do you understand how the Battlefield Execution functions?
Yes, they are a tool to be used only for the most dire of roleplay purposes. Having played as a marine you learn that a round loses a lot of fun when you die for a small reason or one dumb decision. This regard and understanding for the value of living and continuing to be an active part of the round is crucial in making the decision of a battlefield execution. It should only be used with proper procedure and only if the executed was taking away from the experience of others or taking others out of being an active part of the round.

Do you understand you are not above Marine law, or allowed to enforce it yourself?
Yes, I understand that marine law is a system used to keep order and that no man or woman aboard the Almayer is above this system. This system of order is the responsibility of the MPs or CMP to enforce and it is merely my duty to advise them on the best course of action and to give them leadership in their work of enforcing the system of order that is Marine Law, so they can keep the round more enjoyable for all marines and players.

What do you think is the job of a Commander?
The job of the commander is to serve as a role model, an icon, a shining beacon of hope in a sea of darkness and despair. The commander is a leader, therefore his duty can simply be defined as to lead, however his true duty is to do much more than just lead. He is to act as an example for the marines and to give them a hope in the darkest hour. He is to be the one who is accountable for each one of their lives and is to think of them not as numbers or merely pawns to throw at the enemy, but each one as another person, a sort of son or daughter to him. He is to give them leadership and guidance in their missions, be it a well devised plan delivered during briefing, orders given to a squad already on the planet, or a total change of plans on the fly it is his job to deliver those orders and to do his best to preserve the lives of the men and women under his command while also trying to succeed in the mission. At the end of the day, he is the one who merely led and guided them through the mission, but in leading them and guiding them he inspired them to fight harder and to work together towards a common goal, and that is the true goal an duty of the commander.

If a member of your staff is disobeying orders, how would you handle it?
Firstly, it is essential to know the reason they are disobeying and if it has a basis such as they don't see your plan of action as the best or most effective, it is important to ask what they think should be done. Consider their path of action and if it is no better than your plan, you must tell them why it is not adequate and proceed with your plan. If they proceed to disobey your orders it is important to ensure that they are kept under control, and to take action using Marine Law to enforce the orders and to keep the situation under control. At the end of the day it is not your direct job to enforce Marine Law but it is important to make sure those around you are following it and to report those who aren't to the MPs so that they can properly enforce the law. Not all disagreements must be settled in conflict, and it is important to consider if they are taking enjoyment of the round from others while doing their insubordination and if the course of action required would take away from their enjoyment as well.

Why should you be whitelisted?
I feel that I could make a competent commander and would like to take a larger role in helping to guide and coordinate missions and to roleplay effectively as to make the round more enjoyable for everyone. I also feel I could apply my real life leadership experience to the job in order to make the round more enjoyable as well as maybe even learning more lessons about leadership, because even thought this is a game, that does not mean you can't learn things from it.

I really like your answers, but I've NEVER seen your character in-game before, and this is your very first forum post. It makes it hard to gauge whether you would be a responsible Commander or not.

Honestly? I don't believe in the "be active everywhere" thing; as long as you've been here for a while and your answers are satisfactory, I think you can be trusted with the whitelist. +1 from me.
Meztli 'Penumbra' Tlachi - reasonable, outgoing CMP WARRANT REVOKED; INVESTIGATION PENDING
Tonati 'Lumen' Tlachi - focused, sarcastic Doctor/Researcher
Bailey 'Androgyne' James - exactly what you'd expect
Dominick 'Umpire' Feldspar - creepy, slow-paced Officer
Dana 'Croc' Swartwout - dawdling, unsympathetic Squad Marine/Specialist
Damon 'Hellboy' Banner - satanic, pyromaniacal Squad Marine/Specialist
Amelia 'Green' Goodwin - senile, polite Corporate Liaison/Medical Researcher

Thank you, and yeah, I'm coming back around to CM, I used to play on a different character like a year ago then I came back maybe this month and created a totally new character. I'm also only active certain days due to having essentially no internet at my house.

As you said yourself you're just coming back to CM currently and by the looks of it you haven't been playing too much after and before making this, you've only played one round since your last post in this thread.
Way too inactive in CM to get Commander right now. It's a -1 from me.

You're going to need a lot more activity before I can say anything positive. Besides, if people don't know you that well, how would they be able to trust you to lead them to glory?

Troublesome, as usual.

The application is a well formatted one but I've never once seen you around in my entire playtime and the others responding haven't either. Two forum posts too, that isn't exactly the best. I recommend working on your playtime and forum activity.

Be a bit more active before submiting an application, play the game a bit more so other people will see and know your name.
As of now with many of the users posting no, I'm i'll have to follow suit with the rest.

George S.Patton once said:No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making some other poor dumb bastard die for his country.

I don't like cute things.

Good hunting.

Resolved - Denied; you can try again in one month.
Ban Appeal Users: If I've lifted your perma ban and you're still unable to log onto the server, send me a forum PM regarding it and I'll work to get it fixed in ~24 hours.

Emerald Blood: CM's mommy and the only head staff who does anything. Even though I hate you all sometimes, I still love you.
