Sol Time: 2185, April Sixteenth. Mission Recording begin;
Marcellus looks around as it as first activated aboard the Almayer. "Hey," A hand appears infront of Marcellus' face and snaps its fingers. "Synthetic, uhm, can you hear me?"
"Affirmative, I can hear, and understand you, sir." Marcellus states "How may I assist?"
"Sit there and look pretty for a moment, I gotta make sure everything is normal with you." The man in the orange vest says, holding a data pad.
"Sir, my internal diagnostics have ran a full scan already, I can assure you I am functioning normally." Marcellus states to the Orange-vested man, whos ID is scanned by Marcellus and recognized to be a maintenance tech aboard the USS Almayer serving in the USCM. The MT looks up to Marcellus, then down to his data pad.
"I guess you're right. Well then, down to business, Command wants ya to meet with them, as we're deploying to stop some colony to defecting to the UPP, you know what the UPP is, correct?
"Affirmative, sir."
"Excellent. As you may know, they don't exactly speak the same language so we need a translator, a good one, unlike Private Hoff, may he rest in peace. Now run off and go meet with the Commander, he wants to asses you himself before you get deployed with the marines, nothing against ya, I might say, it's just... synthetics are, well, unnatural, no offense intended."
"I cannot be offended, sir, but I do understand what you mean, however I must insist I am here to assist in what ever you need support wise."
"Alright, please head up to the CIC, and do hurry, the marines cannot redeploy until we have a decent translator, and they get rowdier by the minute." Marcellus nods, and heads up engineering's ladder and down the hall, not wasting a moment until he reaches the CIC. Marcellus heads in and walks up to the man in the white beret. "Hello sir, I was told to report here."
The man in the white beret looks over and scowls. "Fucking synths. Come here, you tin can."
"Yes sir." Marcellus heads over to where the white beret man, otherwise known as Commander stands. The Commander grabs Marcellus by the jaw and moves his head side to side, examining his features. "If I didn't know better I would say you were a human at a glance." The Commander sighs and looks Marcellus in the eyes. " I have been informed by others you can translate languages easily and correctly, yes?"
Marcellus notices the Commander has a strain in his eyes when looking at him. He quickly nods and awaits a response. "Very well then, we're deploying to a colony which is in danger of defecting to the UPP, from what intelligence we have, most people there do not speak our language, so you have to translate for us. As we're attempting to persuade this colony to not defect, weapons will be holstered and we must insist you do everything you can to avoid any loss of life, both for the marines and those ingrates down there."
"Sir, I must remind you that I cannot attempt to cause human harm." Marcellus looks at the Commander, his hands tighten and a vein starts to show.
"Go to the Alamo, in the hanger, go now, scrap heap." The Commander orders Marcellus, with a strain in his voice.
Marcellus heads through CIC to the ladder connecting the security deck to CIC. He heads down through security and into the hanger, locating the Alamo in its docked position. A few marines notice him as he walks in and stare at him. Marcellus heads into the Alamo and views the countless marines in there, including the ones without seats laying on the ground. "About time it gets here, hey, what's your name, boy?" He asks Marcellus.
"I am designated as Marcellus, and I will be your translator today." A marine nods, then hits the speak button on an intercom and speaks into it. The Alamo begins liftoff sequence and the shutters slam shut. "So, Marcellus, you know the deal?"
Marcellus nods. "Affirmative, I have been informed." The ride is otherwise quiet, the marines look at Marcellus with a curiosity of a child looking upon something unknown. The landing sequence engages and the shutters pop up. "You first, synth." A marine in Yellow says. Marcellus heads out through the right door and immediately spots several people with guns aimed at the Alamo, some hidden, others not.
Marcellus takes a step forward and a shot lands near his feet. He hears a shout, "Not one more step! We will shoot!" Marcellus looks behind him and notices the marines with their weapons drawn, "Please hold on, I will attempt to form a peaceful resolution." The marines remain on edge, but lower their weapons, slightly.
Marcellus shouts back to the man, in their language, "The Colonial Marines only wish for negotiations currently, they do not wish any harm to anyone here. I am willing to come alone if that is acceptable to you." No response is heard back for about thirty seconds. "Just you, and only you! No weapons, or we will shoot."
Marcellus starts walking towards the colony buildings and notices a few more guns aimed at him that he didn't notice before. He heads for the man he was talking to. "Hello, I am here on behalf of the USCM. The men and women of the United States Marine Corps wish to keep you from defecting to the UPP."
"Your people do not care about us, you do not send us aid when we need it. When a disease struck our colony, we asked for aid but received nothing from you, however the UPP delivered medicine, it saved countless lives. You extort us with your demands on us, and the UPP asks simply to join them, allow them in, they care about us, for where you people do not."
Marcellus collects data from known UPP colonies then responds, "I have just collected multiple reports of colonies in your situation, where they think the UPP would be able to help them, they did end up defecting, and they paid the price, the UPP treated them like dirt, socialism would ruin this colony, this isn't a lone report either, there are countless reports of this occurring."
"You, you robot, you're lying! Trying to fool me into thinking the UPP is bad." The mans face contorts with disgust. "You people don't care about anyone in the colonies."
Marcellus replies, "If the USCM didn't care, why would they have sent me in the first place, why haven't they just bombarded the colony from orbit?" The man looked stunned, "I-er, well, because you don't want to waste resources on constructing a new colony, if the UPP is so bad as you say, why wouldn't they just take over?"
"Perhaps they wish to minimize losses while overly getting you energetic about joining and receiving too-good-to-be-true ideals." Marcellus looks at him, he seems confused and concerned. "Sir, I was sent here to translate, they could have just bombarded you from orbit, or sent the marines down here to kill you all, but they didn't. The Colonial Marines do care, and the marines do everything in our power to maintain the law and everything that is right."
The man looks down, and thinks for a moment. "If what you are saying is true, then you have pictures and proof of hostile UPP activity?"
"That is correct, sir." Marcellus states. "We can show you if you have your men disarm, they wish to avoid anyone getting hurt here."
The man looks beaten and speaks into a radio, the men with guns aimed at the Alamo, and Marcellus look confused, but eventually throw down their weapons. "Sir, if you come with me, you can speak with the Commander, after you have been searched and escorted by the Military Police of the Almayer, of course." The man follows Marcellus to the dropship which now has marines standing in ranks listening to their Squad Leaders.
"Good work out there, syn- Marcellus." A marine whispers as they walk by. Marcellus and the man take a seat together and head up, with MP's waiting to search the man.

Marcellus would not wish to engage in conversation with the marines, unless necessary, or ordered, as he would feel himself to be an outcast, not one of the squad-mates, or shipside friends.
Medical - I am trained on medical, other than surgery, but that can be easily found on the wiki
Science - It's all roleplay, so yes.
I would add in another role for the marines to experience, further constructing the universe around them (In terms of roleplay). I would also fill in for any missing roles. I have also been a long-term player of Colonial-Marines and have contributed as a staff member, quite a while ago.
