Byond ID:
My Byond ID is Novus Luna, as are my Discord and forum usernames.
Marine Name (so we know who you are; if you play alien mostly, state that here):
I primarily play as Cyrus Ambrose. In playing him, I mostly play as Chief of Military Police or Commanding Officer, as well as Specialist or Squad Medic. When playing as a Xenomorph I normally play Boiler or Hivelord.
Name/Designation of the Synth Character you’re requesting to use (Follows common naming rules, and requires a first name with no last name):
My synthetic is designated as 'Gabriel', following the angel present in Abrahamic religions.
Examples of acceptable names: James, Mason, Xavier, Felix, Otto, Allan, Jessica
Examples of unacceptable names: Obama, Jesus, King, Dragon, Godly, Snyper, Circuits
Are you familiar with the Synthetic Programming and Guidelines (http://www.colonial-marines.com/viewtop ... 57&t=14417)?
While, admittadly, not as familiar with it as I am with the Predator Code of Honor and Marine Law, I have reviewed the Synthetic Programming and Guidelines enough to play.
Synthetic Character Story (An ADEQUATE description and story of your Synthetics actions and involvement in a previous mission onboard the Almayer):

PROJECT CODE-NAME: 'Archangel'
LINE DESIGNATION: 'Gabriel'
SERIES NUMBER: 777-1
PROJECT SUMMARY:
Gabriel-777-1 (henceforth referred to simply as 'Gabriel' due to discontinuation of the line) was designed as an attempt by Weyland-Yutani to better emulate human emotion in a practical and applicable way. The tested application was through attempts at successfully providing counseling of religious nature, as to also see how the synthetic itself would work with the subject. Due to the need of an active environment where this would be needed, but a need to not pollute the test with acknowledgement of Gabriel's nature as a variable, Gabriel was added to the United States Marine Corps within the Chaplain Corps, where he posed as a normal commissioned officer within the force, with the name 'Gabriel Stone'. Due to a need for secrecy, only the United States Marine Corps Admiralty, the Captain of the Chaplain Corps, and the Commanding Officer of his assigned vessel would be privy to his actual identity. Upon completion of Officer Training School, Gabriel was assigned to the rapid-deployment vessel designed 'USS Red Spot'. Below are two selected case files during active times of his deployment upon this vessel. After six total active missions serving on the USS Red Spot, Gabriel's current round of testing concluded, leading to his transfer to the USS Almayer as a general purpose synthetic.

OPERATION: 'Falling Angels'
FORWARD: This is a recording of Gabriel's first proper attempt at counseling personnel. Events are logged as per his memory.
TRANSCRIPTION:
I had remained in my chapel for most of the early portion of the mission. The Red Spot Battalion did not seem to have much use for my services overall early on, save for a Private First Class and Corporal who entered to pray silently before deploying. Their hands were not steady, nor was their posture. They were sweating, despite the room temperature being seventy-one point three degrees at the time. They were scared, scared of whatever they were being sent to face - scared of death. I attempted to approach one of them to speak, but they rose and left before I could, and the other followed out shortly after. I remain in the quiet of my chapel for the time being, reviewing records of the personnel on the ship to familiar myself with the religious following of each individual.
I had made it through the first and second Squad, as well as approximately one-half of the third, before the second squad in its entirety entered into my chapel. My eyes swiftly moved along them, and it took me no time to realize that they were missing two of their number: their second-in-command and a new recruit who was on his first mission. My suspicion of the death of these individuals was confirmed as the engineers of the team brought forward their corpses. I led them into the morgue that was kept between myself and medical bay, opening the door for them as the doctors had been too busy to do so from their side. Exiting back out, I saw the same fear that I'd seen before in many of the people before me, but it was not the dominant feeling in the room. The tense motions of their Squad Leader, the furrowed look on each and every one of their faces, this was not fear - this was anger. In the seconds I took stepping towards the group I thought over the tomes of religious scripture I knew, specifically Christianity due to that religion holding more presence than others in this particular squad. Below is a transcript of my impromptu sermon to them.
"I see your pain. Your desire to seek retribution upon they that felled your friends. We, sons of man, Children of Adam, have lost our brothers. The first to lose a brother could not stand the suffering, and unto him the Lord said, "anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over"...The Lord then marked him, that whoever may find him shall not be able to kill him. All of you are brothers in battle, marked for protection under the Lord. They that have cause you this pain, you will bring holy vengeance upon them seven fold, with the Lord protecting you as he did Cain. Take up your weapons... ...for whoever shall shed mans blood, by man shall his blood be shed. Good luck, brothers."
There were a few looks of confusion - many from those who did not understand the religious references, and some who did. My first application was not a total success, but seemed to show some degree of function, as the spirits of some had been lifted, with those immediately exiting out to charge back into combat.

OPERATION: 'Jackhammer'
FORWARD: Below is a transcription of Gabriel's attempt to console Sergeant Michael Tibet over the death of his wife who had been mistakenly assigned to the same vessel. Sergeant Tibet and his wife worshiped Sikhism, and Gabriel's quotes come from the Guru Granth Sahib.
TRANSCRIPTION:
SGT. TIBET: "She...she can't be gone. The doctor must've made a mistake...scanned the wrong person...she can't be gone already!"
There is a silence for 17 seconds, with no comment yet made from LT. STONE.
SGT. TIBET: "She'd...there had only been a few fucking seconds that they got the drop on us...only one bullet even got through her armor...that couldn't have been enough. She's fine. She's fine...Doctor Malbari said it didn't seem that bad when we brought her in...she's probably still in surgery."
LT. STONE: "I know this is hard, Michael, but you know that the Doctors do not misidentify that easily...she still had her ID on her when you brought her in."
SGT. TIBET: "No...No, no! You shut up! It doesn't make any sense! She was tough, tougher than me, tougher than half the dumb-asses on this ship! One stray fucking bullet is not enough to put her down!"
LT. STONE: "What you feel is perfectly natural...as was her passing. As are all things passing...but let out your anger. Do not let it consume you. All the wicked are ruined by their anger. Anger steals the wealth of the self within."
There is a sound of movement before a loud thud is heard. (NOTE: LT. STONE reports that SGT. TIBET attempted to strike him at this time before falling after missing.)
SGT. TIBET: "Damn, fuck shit, bastard! You son of-...I-...fuck, I'm sorry...you didn't deserve that, Gabe. I just...I want her back. There's gotta be something you can do, right...? You can talk to the docs, ask them to try something? Anything?
LT. STONE: "Even if I could, would that be right? Would you truly want that? Would she? You know this...the day of the brides wedding, it is pre-ordained. It is not ours to control or refuse."
There is a pause again, this time of 24 seconds. Further comment from SGT. TIBET is quieter and spoken through whimpers, with sounds of crying heard in the interim.
SGT. TIBET: "W-We...we were g-gonna have...oh god...have k-kids when we got back, ya-you know? We-e t-talked ab-about it...a lot. I always s-said just o-one...but she w-wanted...m-more practically e-every time we t-talked. M-Mason...C-Celeste...Kia...Jus-...Jus-..."
SGT. TIBET ceases to speak at this time, and there is a sound of footsteps over heavy crying.
LT. STONE: "Shh...let it out...do not let these hurtful thoughts cloud your mind and tongue... Remember, your body...it is mere clothing for the soul. She has returned to the very air around you, and you will reunite with her when the Akal Purakh wills it."
How do you intend to play your Synth (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your Synth and what support roles you’ll mainly focus on, what is your synthetics quirk)?
I find the question of what support roles I would focus on to be a rather moot inquiry, considering I will merely need to go where I am ordered. If the question is to be what I do when not under explicit orders, my character would tend to be in the medical bay to offer assistance there, and, lacking his need to be there, he would be at the chapel.
Gabriel's 'quirk' stems from his original purpose in his programming. The simplest way to describe him is to have one think of the trope that one might see on television of a small, southern town preacher. He will have a habit of quoting texts from various religions - primarily Abrahamic religions but all other primary religions of the world as well - whenever the situation and mood would call for such. When not under direct orders or seeing imminent need for his capabilities elsewhere, he would remain in the chapel, morgue, and medical bay area, providing base counseling and last rites where he can offer them.
How familiar are you with support roles? (ie; Medical, MT, Science, SO)
I am familiar with Command roles through and through, as well as the fielded aspects of the Medical and Engineering role and how such would apply to work on the Almayer. Most of my work is in Command and Security, giving me the most familiarity with such. I will admit lacking knowledge in Science, as well as the more technical aspects of Engineering, but that can be remedied via reading the wiki during my currently extensive off-time from the server.
Why should we whitelist you?
I believe, in light of my holding both a Yautja and Commanding Officer whitelist, I have proven myself to be an avid enough roleplaying to take this role upon myself as well. I would like to think that my characters quirk, and the character overall, stand out enough to be a welcome addition to the roster of synthetics. While, admittedly, I am not currently incredibly active on the server due to not having a computer of constant availability to me, I do not believe this will be a downside in terms of this role.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?
I have never received any form of ban from Colonial Marines.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
I am banned from no servers of any kind at this time.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or the Synthetic Programming Guideline?
While this is not presently applicable to me as I am neither staff nor a donor, I am aware of this condition.
