Synthetic Character Story (An ADEQUATE description and story of your Synthetics actions and involvement in a previous mission onboard the Almayer):
► Show Spoiler
The Almayer is mostly comparable to of a barren wasteland when the marines take up on a mission of some sort. A vessel, such like the Almayer, requires great up-keep and a ship can not care for itself. The issue may be solved with a helping hand much like a synthetic. Philips, a working joe, is programmed to suit the needs of the people of the Almayer. Without any objections, thoughts, and self-goals, but just loyalty proves the viability of a synthetic. The one characteristic of Philips is the fact that he will at times be both sarcastic and rude, which the reason may be that Weyland-Yutani developed Philips to analyse people react to a non-living, but hyper-realistic depiction of someone who is not a favorable person to interact with. He definitely is not the favorite of the synthetics aboard the Almayer.
The marines were due for a combat operation regarding a couple of colonies on a small planet that have enacted a civil war between the colonies. Having to go sort out a mess leaves the Almayer without many individuals to maintain the ship. Command often asks for the synthetics to patrol the Almayer in pursue of assistance. Philips, as ordered, carries out his order of attempting to assist the crew of the Almayer. Philips passes through the medical bay and catches the Chief Medical Officer in his office working on a couple of papers and Philips asks in an abruptive monotone voice if there is much that he should do to benefit the medical field.
The Chief Medical Officer responds with, " I apologize, but I don't have anything for you..."
"Of course you don't need anything." as Philips interrupts the Chief Medical Officer.
With a puzzled face in response to a unexpected and daunting response, the Chief Medical Officer politely asks if Philips may leave. Storming out through the medical bay with having nothing accomplished so far, he then decides to make his way over to engineering to possibly find ways to assist some technicians. Philips, as he goes down the hall and picks up a loud noise, almost like a bang against something, around the corner of the engineering hallway. Philips then peaks his eyes over the corner of the wall and deduces what may seem to have been a fight. On the ground it seems to be a hooded figure standing over an executive officer who either may be dead or unconscious. The hooded individual picks up up something from the executive officer. Philips leans from the corner of the wall. The figure spotted Philips observing the situation and immediately sprints to one of the maintenance entrances.
Philips enters maintenance and immediately is greeted with a fork in the road. Either he may turn left or right. Philips decides to turn right, his reasoning is that majority of people are right handed so it may be natural for people to choose right opposed to right. As Philips turns right, he picks up movement signals from within his inner motion tracker. The signals stopped abruptly in one spot and Philips decides to follow that direction. Philips comes to another stop and encounters some storage crates blocking the narrow pathway. Much like a spider-monkey, he climbs over the boxes in a rush and crawls on top to the other side of the boxes. Dropping from the boxes, Philips finds the end of the maintenance path with several human-sized lockers. Putting the pieces together, he deduces that the suspect must be hiding in one of the lockers. If the suspect is, it would be easy to find the hiding spot. Synthetics have approximately 150x the hearing of the average human. With his strong artificial noise receptors, Philips hears what may to be heavy breathing of some sort, as if someone is having a breakdown. Slowly approaching the locker with the breathing, a loud slam followed with a loud bang is heard by Philips. Philips in response to a force, surges back towards the wall. His hand grasping his inflicted chest area, he comes to the realization of possibility of have been shot. Coming to his senses, Philips momentarily ignored his wound and embraces the suspect that had hid in the locker. Out of the locker, the suspect takes aim at Philips again only to have been met with physical contact of Philips' hand. Philips extended his arm and slides his hand under the suspect's arm that had the gun. He pushes it upward and another shot follows after that. With his other hand, he manages to place his hand on the back of the suspect's neck. The synthetic pushes down with force adequate enough to slam someone into the ground. Philips knocked the gun out and managed to keep it away from the suspect. Locking his arms out of reach of anything, Philips subdues the highly dangerous individual. With the person subdued, Philips contacts the military police to assist in the situation.
The dangerous person was soon interrogated after being placed in custody and was found that he was just a mere marine. Getting tired of how the colonial marines operated, he wanted off the mission and off the marines. He had knocked out the executive officer in order to acquire his card to catch an escape pod away from the Almayer and return home. The executive officer suffered only minor injuries. Philips was highly thanked from the higher ups for dealing with a highly dangerous situation without much trouble.
How do you intend to play your Synth (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your Synth and what support roles you’ll mainly focus on, what is your synthetics quirk)?
I want to play as a synthetic that is overall negative, sarcastic, and rude. I want to create roleplay with other players using this method because of how potentially effective this could be. I don't necessarily have a specific role in mind, I assume whatever has the most potential for roleplay would be suitable for me.
How familiar are you with support roles? (ie; Medical, MT, Science, SO)
I'm familiar with medical and science. I assume the MT means maintenance. I am also familiar with that. I have never played a staff officer position, so I don't think I would be suited for that.
Why should we whitelist you?
I'm not attempting to be a suck up or anything like that, but I really love the Alien franchise. I became really excited when this server finally introduced synthetics. I've recently started roleplaying more as opposed to being a bystander and just marine. I really did enjoy roleplaying as a Corporate Liason, but in my opinion, it is a very limited job for someone who is not a hardcore roleplayer. It may sound silly because synthetics could be viewed as the same way. I feel like I would roleplay much better as a synthetic. I don't like roleplaying as a Marine because you won't really meet as many roleplayers due to the fact a lot of players are just looking for warfare.
I would really appreciate it if I ever do get the synthetic role. I've had a rough past back when I started playing on this server around 2015. I understand that it may be more than enough of a reason to not allow me to play as a synthetic, but give me a shot please.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?
Not that I am aware of.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
Not that I am aware of.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or the Synthetic Programming Guideline?
I do understand.
