TexasTwoStep's Synthetic Whitelist Application - Delfino

Post by TexasTwoStep » 19 Aug 2017, 20:39

Byond ID: TexasTwoStep

Marine Name (so we know who you are; if you play alien mostly, state that here): Alexi 'Moskal' Yanovich, Alexander Hoffman (Command Roles, Primary - some MP and CMP Action there.) Fortune 'Four' Baxter and one that' i'm forgetting but Shy would always annoy me to play again.

Name/Designation of the Synth Character you’re requesting to use (Follows common naming rules, and requires a first name with no last name): Delfino
Examples of acceptable names: James, Mason, Xavier, Felix, Otto, Allan, Jessica
Examples of unacceptable names: Obama, Jesus, King, Dragon, Godly, Snyper, Circuits

Are you familiar with the Synthetic Programming and Guidelines (viewtopic.php?f=57&t=14417)? Yes.

Synthetic Character Story (An ADEQUATE description and story of your Synthetics actions and involvement in a previous mission onboard the Almayer): Delfineo, short of the E for my Synthetic Character is derivative of 'porpoising, jumping and diving in the water as dolphins do'. Dolphins being a creature that for many centuries has shocked Scientist's with it's natural abilities in the arts of communication and survival, fit as a notation for the recent roll-out of new Synthetic Models on certain USS-Vessels, including the USS Almayer. Delfino, originally stationed aboard the USS Almayer in a miscommunication, shortly gave way to their inherent abilities and technical know-how. Operation Time, Twelve-Hundred Zulu Hours, Location: Unknown, Status: Unknown, Resolve: USCM Control. Operation Dustoff, the USS Almayer's first peace-keeping mission in the Orion IV sector, a boarder sector with a wide-stretch of colonies on the outer-rim of the Milky-Way's bounds. The mission was to secure a colonial-moon, nicknamed for the purpose of dissolving IQ's and lack of Antiscience-features was called Utopia. It was quite the opposite, and the name served much as Greenland is to Iceland and vice versa, hence the sarcastic soap-opera isk-feel. In short-order, Operation Dustoff wouldn't require any synthetic composition, more-so, most United-States-Colonial-Marine Personnel felt that the use of Synthetics was another way the Military was keeping grunt's in line, keeping the combat-lines full of blood, and the less dangerous jobs such as mechanical work to machines, instead of People. Twelve-Hundred-Forty-Two Hours, a Richter scale reading of seven-point-zero-two in the south-western part of Utopia. Recovery of Assets begain at Twelve-Hundred-Fifty-Five Hours, and a short-order recording from Delfino captured 'his' 'waking-moments'.

Without going too much further, this is very much a rough-sketch on the story on how Delfino became attached with the USS Almayer, their mission to get back to a place in which he has never even seen, in a place that although not hostile, isn't exactly full of Civilians willing to lend-an-extra hand to the Military to find a crashed dropship in one of the moons many terraformed jungles. The start of the UPP Movements on boarder-colonies becomes more and more attractive due to the militarizes loose-grip on the planets, most of which have been expensively developed by Weyland-Yutani for the sole-purpose of furthering the Mission: Finding the Creators, a more philosophical approach provided in cander to the March of Freedom that most Colonial-Marines inhibit on to the lesser-colonies. The ever-growing need of Synthetics led to a new breed of prototype modules, that as Delfino was developed for, mainly serve as Civil Service Jobs, Law Enforcement, Fire-Fighting, Medical, Crew-Aid, and Risk-Analysis, have been redeveloped for the military's vast collections of Weyland-Yutani hardware and software that fuels many conflicts in space.

How do you intend to play your Synth (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your Synth and what support roles you’ll mainly focus on, what is your synthetics quirk)? Delfino is tagged for R & D Work, specializing in Risk-Analysis and Biology with a functional hobby of Disease-Control and CM-CDC Standards, Creating / Synthesizing better ways to fuel the future of Synthetic and Human interests.

How familiar are you with support roles? (ie; Medical, MT, Science, SO) Extremely, Heavy Command Experience tied in with the fact that as a Moderator, I perfer to have ship-side jobs that allow me to keep an eye on the server without being lynched by the xeno-force.

Why should we whitelist you? Honestly, why should you whitelist anyone? Ever Since Feweh played Synthetic roles there has been a passion in me to find something new on the Server that I like, and short of playing ARES - this allows me to serve the crew in an enjoyable fashion that I like. Although being fed to a Xeno by Apollo was fun and all, I prefer to be more contextually supportable as a special-snowflake who has the Wiki-Power to engage in special projects.

Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)? I sure hope not.

Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why? Nope!

Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or the Synthetic Programming Guideline? Of Course! I Do.

I think the names kind of unique, good or bad. I imagine the crew will call you "Del" (those that don't spurn you).

You didn't even include your personality quirk? Have you given any thought to that part of how you intend to play the Synth?

tentative +1

i think Del is a better name honestly- Delfino sounds a little out of place for a synth- I typically wouldnt think of something in that name vien. I think you have shown decent RP in game for a while- but id like to known about your personality quirk myself

Sorry about the late reply, flooding in Texas and all has had all of our response crews on deployment-ready status. Delfino's quirk, comes much like as a Biologist whom cares greatly for his work, he's proud in anything he does, because he does task's one-hundred precent to completion, as expected from any Synthetic Life-form. Past that, he strives on the emotional response of the crew, the human behavior to a foreign agent inside their crew whom is more helpful than themselfs, much like a parasite in a human; when you think of one, it's mostly a negative response, but Del is the opposite. Past his job, as I said he strives for creation, imaginative creation (from what he can understand) composing, making life, objects, etc. He'll most likely be enjoying some sort of composition from Luciano Pavarotti, while maintaining his tasks, and in his "free-time" consulting with the crew on how to improve conditions, etc. His quirk, essentially is to be as helpful as possible, while maintaining a joyful aptitude, however so containing a careful and watchful eye. He'll most likely ask a lot of questions that he already knows the answer's to for smaller things in the hope of making a crew-member smile, and improving their knowledge in the process while investigating human-behavior.

TL;DR, Helpful. He'll be Helpful. I don't plan on playing with some dark-twisted looking antagonist side that everyone is going to expect to play as, most likely the opposite.

Delfino doesn't really feel like a synth name that would be chosen.
